Enjoyed this tour! On the way to the plantation, Steven provided a lot of information about areas /sites we passed. He was informative and made the driving time fun! When we arrived at the Laura plantation, we were welcomed and given our ticket. We had time to walk through the museum before the tour started. Very interesting. Rose was our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and provided great detail about the history of the plantation. She made the families come alive. We are so glad we chose the Laura plantation; great experience.

The 'tour guide'/shuttle driver, Steven, alone was a highlight of the trip. Super friendly, witty, and full of fun facts that kept the drive to and from the plantation interesting. The tour itself when you get to the plantation is self paced and lasts roughly 2 hours (with a guided 35 minute house tour). Would absolutely recommend if you're in LA, especially for the price.

Very interesting, especially to learn about Antoine having developed the thin-shelled pecan, a feat that eluded Mr. Roman's neighbor for so long a time.
