Colorful Props of All Kinds, Even The Band KISS was on display

I would rather have a guided tour so I can learn in greater detail about the history of Mardi Gras by the artisans themselves. The leftover floats were vibrant and very well detailed. Plenty of photo opportunities. There is a short film presentation that covers the Mardi Gras tradition but a bit impersonal.

The Mardi Gras tour was interesting to learn about, mainly because of the video but I feel that it was over priced.

Falsely Advertised. Dissapointing

Not as advertised! Arranging pick up was an absolute nightmare and involved several calls. Once there we were dropped off at a gift shop. After a few minutes of standing around a guy appeared and told us we'd be watching a movie as no tour guide was available. After a boring movie in a dark room we were told we could then go wonder around the warehouse......unguided. we took a few pictures and returned to the gift shop because the warehouse was steaming hot with no A/C. No king cake was even offered. Totally a waste a time and money. False advertising. #dissapointing

Decent Experience Considering

We went during the re-opening phrase during Covid-19 and therefore, we didn't have a tour guide; it was self-guided, which was a bummer. The 15-minute video was the highlight and gave background information. At least it was open, so we were thankful.

We enjoyed our visit. Pick up and return service from a nearby hotel. The tour was fun and informative. Fresh King cake to sample. The floats were amazing and we got to watch the artists doing their work. We asked a lot of questions and the guide was very knowledgeable

Floats from concept to finished product

Fascinating tour. How interesting to see the process in action with the largest float builder in NOLA. The artists were busy working on next years exhibits. They also build forms for large businesses and corporations.
