Meet your guide at a centrally located point to begin your tour.

Wander through this verdant residential area of New Orleans to admire the many beautiful 19th-century antebellum mansions—it's the largest collection of this style of buildings in the world. At one time, this part of the city was taken up by a few plantations. These were later broken up into the separate residential plots you see today.

The streets are lined with Live Oaks, sometimes branching across roads to create lush tunnels between fine examples of quintessentially New Orleanian architectural styles. Look for scrolled cast-iron fences and grand white columns.

Before concluding the tour, visit one of the city's famous above-ground cemeteries, Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, which dates from the 19th century.

Loved it!

Shawn bird was super knowledgeable and made it fun. We loved the tour. The homes were beautiful. We were able to see more in this cemetary than the st. Lois cemetary. We could see more through the gates as most cemetaries are closed.

We were not informed prior to paying that the cemetery was closed! The presenter was informed but jumped around with the information and often did not return to points he had mentioned he would cover.

Andrew was GREAT!!! Only disappointment was not being able to go into the graveyard. The website needs to make it a little more obvious that it’s closed.....

Great tour guide (Ronald), lots of interesting facts. I just wish we knew ahead of time that we couldn’t get into the cemetery! Was padlocked unfortunately! Saw lots of mansions, which were beautiful.

DJ was SOLID

DJ was a fantastic tour guide. He knew his history, drew special attention to architecture and was hilarious. He created a solid experience and my wife and I were drawn in the whole time. There is so much history and culture in NOLA I’m sure it’s not hard to be interesting as a tour guide there but DJ took it a step above and his enthusiasm and energy was contagious.
