Libby was amazing! Very personal tour due to Covid protocols and she recounted personal stories (being a 10 generation New Orleans resident) as well as giving some great local food tips. The history tour was really enlightening amd Libby brought all to life with knowledge, excitement and humor. We will be back with family and friends.

Libby knew everything there was to know about New Orleans history (and an insider’s tips for great food in the area). She not only recounted history but added her personal accounts of recent New Orleans events and answered every question we had. We will be back with friends and family.

A New Orleans Must!

I had Libby as my tour guide and she did a great job personalizing the tour, by seeing what peaked my interest. Libby gave me insights of how to maximize my stay in New Orleans. She told me history, gave me knowledge of all the best foods spots, and all the best parts of the city

Thank you thank you thank you for this great review. We at Lucky Bean have always tried to personalize every tour to the interests of our guests, but the pandemic-enforced super small groups have given us more training than we ever thought we would have! You just can't give a generic tour when you only have two guests. We love the fact that every tour is different, and we look forward to showing you what we've got ( and what is new) next time you make it to New Orleans. Libby

Stories behind French quarter
priyanka_k
, Dec 2020
Libby has great story telling skills with numerous nuggets of information about every smallest corner of the French quarter . Our kids learned a lot. We enjoyed the most the Napoleon house and the story behind it.

Thanks! I just realized that almost no one ever tells me what their favorite story was - what a great touch in a great review! I really love that story too - drunk rich guys, an international plot, boats, a deposed emperor, and a pirate - plus a great restaurant. What's not to love? I am so pleased that you enjoyed your tour as much as I enjoyed my time with you. Please come see me again! Libby

Libby was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide through the French Quarter! Fun history and architectural lesson! Highly recommended!
icon Response from Host , Dec 2020
Hi! Thanks for leaving this great review. I like it when I get to share my architectural knowledge. The choices people made about what kind of buildings they built tells the stories about their lives - the materials they had available, what their priorities were, and how their household operated. Every tour is different, which not only keeps us fresh and spontaneous, but engages our guests even more because we are talking about the topics that they find interesting. Please come back soon and bring your questions! Libby

Fantastic tour

Elliot was an exceptional guide. He had such great knowledge of the history of New Orleans, I asked him if he was a history major. We had a great time. He made sure to answer all our questions and was thoughtful about where we stood (in the shade so we were not melting in the warm December weather). Wear comfortable shoes - lots of walking & standing. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about New Orleans and the history of the French Quarter.

Thank you so much for reviewing your French Quarter tour with Eliot! He really is an exceptional guide and goes out of his way to keep his guests comfortable and enjoying the tour. And you're right about the comfortable shoes - the best way to experience New Orleans is on foot, and we like to cover as much of this fascinating place as we can! I hope you enjoyed New Orleans just a little more because of what you learned on your tour, and I hope you are able to come back one day to explore another great neighborhood! Libby

Loved the tour hosted by Peak! She was energetic, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. She was exactly where she said we’d meet and had pictures of the historical people she spoke of on our tour. We had a great time!

I am so happy to hear that you had such a great time on your French Quarter tour with Peak. When it comes down to it, a tour should be FUN - learning history and seeing the sights is great, but unless it's fun, it's not worth the time. Peak is unique, passionate, funny, smart, and always FUN! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I hope you are able to visit again. Libby
