Our tour group was very small only three people (myself included) plus our tour guide Mark. Mark was great and was accommodating as one person in our group had a dietary restriction. Mark has a plethora of knowledge about New Orleans and encourages questions as we walk around town. You will try many different cocktails and you will SAMPLE little bites of things as you go, I saw in one negative review where someone was angry they didnt receive a bunch of full meals it clearly states what is included in the description folks you will not get overly full on this tour its just right. Overall a great way to learn about New Orleans as you make your way around town. Plus Mark took us to get balanced cocktails without a lot of cheap liquor and garbage ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, woke up the next day without a hang over which is always appreciated. I would definately recommend it.

Off-Season’s Little Gem

Going off season proved to be a plus! Dr. Gumbo himself guided the tour! The history provided alongside the food and cocktails blended in away that you cannot help but appreciate New Orleans. We went to where original recipes could be found and enjoyed! We met fabulous people, who know Dr. Gumbo! Good news! Dr. and Nurse Gumbo have a guest house central to many sites that our family could enjoy on our next visit!

Nate was an excellent guide. He knew so much incredible history. The venues we were taken to were exceptional and fun. Small group allowed for lots of questions and conversations. Our group enjoyed each other’s company and had fun even though we were strangers. Plenty of delicious food and great drinks! I’ve been to Nola at least 10x and have never ordered a Pimms Cup. It was my go-to drink the rest of the weekend! Plenty of photo opportunities along the way. The walk was short distances with multiple stops when the shade was available. Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon innNew Orleans. Would recommend this tour highly!

After 10+ trips to New Orleans I'm glad we were able to share something new with you. Yes, the Pimm's Cup, albeit a British invention, is a true favorite for New Orleanians and perfect for a hot afternoon! Red beans and ricely, Doctor G

Still Thinking About Those Oysters

If you like food, cocktails and light learning - this is the perfect way to get off the beaten track of the French Quarter! The fried oysters at the Red Fish Grill are truly some of the most delicious things I've ever eaten and now I know all the history and fun facts about Cajun and Creole culture and cuisine. Pro tip: bring a bigger bag because it has great spots to get foodie souvenirs!

Nate is outstanding. The tour is excellent in all ways. The food and drinks are distinct and delicious. Nate's knowledge of both big picture and anecdotal history make this a thoroughly engaging and highly enjoyable tour. We were a group of eleven. Nate engaged us all. The stops on the tour and the routes we took to get to get to each made for non-stop learning and fun. Outstanding all around.
