Good cruise, just don’t eat the food.

The cruise was really nice and the narration was very well done and we had a blast. However, 2 of the our group of 4 got food poisoning from the seafood pasta. I would not recommend the tour with the meal due to that. For the most part it was a great experience, we just wish we hadn’t eaten the food.

Poor Customer Service
Joanne_T
, Feb 2021
The directions to their booth were very vague causing myself and my guests to end up at a different booth for a similar steam boat therefore missing. When I explained my situation and that I was not a native to the area, I even have photos showing that there were no signs directing me to the correct booth and how I was lost they refuse to give me my money back. The only thing they offered was a rescheduled tour for the following day. I explained I am not from here and will be leaving. They displayed poor customer service.

Mississippi cruise on the Creole Queen
Renae_S

We really did enjoy the cruise on the Creole Queen. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining to listen to. We also enjoyed the food, but my companion and I both realized that the dessert portion of the meal was missing. I remember dessert being part of the menu because I was planning on trying the Banana's Foster, but when I asked about it I was told dessert wasn't included. Beyond that, it was fun and we would have both enjoyed a little bit longer time on the paddle wheeler. Being that this was during the pandemic and we didn't get to hear any live music, having the old time jazz music playing on the cruise was fun, too. The time at the battle site was brief especially if you spent time listening to the guide there.

My husband and I really loved the history talk and battlefield tour. Wish we had more time to walk around and read all the signs. Katrina documentary was excellent and very interesting.

The cruise is ok but not too interesting. The banks are industrial. There is a good view of the city and the guide’s narrative is interesting with a lot of detail about history

Perfect Afternoon Excursion

The river cruise was wonderful! The cruise was a little longer than 2 hours so definitely worth it! You get to experience beautiful views of the Mississippi River Bridge, St. Louis Cathedral, Domino Sugar factory and other parts of the city. Charles was an excellent historian. We got so much information on New Orleans’ history and the devastation from Katrina. We also enjoyed going to the battlefield in Chalmette, not as much to see there but we learned a lot! I wouldn’t mind doing this again for the dinner experience!

We went on the 2 pm cruise I didn’t really think about it at the time because it was overcast but my husband and I both came home sun burned. Make sure to wear sunscreen. The tour guide Charles was fantastic. He had everyone even the children captivated the whole. Definitely will go again.

Charles - Great Guide

We took the Sunday 12pm experience. Charles was fabulous! Very informative, funny and full of non-fictional stories. Even shared personal experiences of his families times in NOLA. Truly appreciated the dinner suggestion of Adolfo's local secret. Great meal experience to end our NOLA trip.

Enjoyed it, especially the narrator. One of few places in New Orleans not closed because of virus. I would recommend this trip.
