while the tour food was delicious and interesting, our guide (he was very nice) was WAY too talkative. I have taken multiple food tours in different cities and I love them.....but this guy just talked TOO much.

Shawn was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and fun. We had not been around the East End very much so this was great to experience.

Nice but overpriced

We took the tour on our third day in town because that was the booking we could get. By then we had already had the hot chicken (one of the stars of this tour) and had already heard some of the same information and anecdotes on the hop on tour. So I suggest taking the tour on the first or second day. That said, Shaun, our guide, was professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Our tour lasted 2.5 hours. Not too much walking, but some of it was in dicey situations, like trying to avoid cars and trucks in tight little areas. We had 4 stops: a biscuit and fresh raspberry jam, fillet of not-too-hot chicken, beef brisket nachos, and a delicious pork bbq sandwich and a small flourless chocolate cake and tiny scoop of ice cream. Our tour began at 11, so we should have known better than to eat even a light breakfast. But Shaun graciously arranged to have our sandwich and cake wrapped for takeout. Not a bad tour, but overpriced. I don’t recommend, but if you do go, do it in the afternoon., or you could just go and have those foods at restaurants throughout your stay.

Secret Food Tour

Shawn provided a memorable experience with his knowledge of Nashville's history. The food tour was in the up and coming east side of Nashville, which was unexpected but selections were outstanding. Joyland (biscuits) and Hugh Baby's ( pull pork sandwich) were exceptional.
