Onstage with Old Crow Medicine Show
Xan
, Sep 2020
We had such a blast there! The tickets we had did not explain that the Ryman was closing at 3 pm that day -- everything I read said 5pm. So when we showed up at 3:10 we were turned away at the door at first. But then the security guard woman started making some calls. People on the other end were telling her no but she wouldn't settle for that. She ran to the ticket office, but they had shut down. Finally she figured out a way to print us some paper tickets on her own and gave them to us and told us to enjoy. We did! The history, the music, the building itself -- all great. At the end we got to stand on the stage for a photo and we were joined onstage by the Old Crow Medicine Show because they were rehearsing for their gig that night!

One of the best tours EVER!

This was one of the best tours we have been on. The video at the beginning of the tour gave you the history of the Ryman which was very informative and interesting. You travel in the Ryman at your own speed therefore enjoying pictures, information, and memorabilia. Don't forget to get your picture taken on the stage as this is included in the price of admission.

So MUCH history! The opening film is best introduction I have ever experienced at a museum! You need to take the time to listen to the narratives.. they add slot to the visit.

Great tour of The Ryman

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of this historic building. They have done a good job of restoring it and displaying memorabilia. The sculptures of entertainers both indoors and outdoors were excellent. The displays of the history of the building were very good and the introductory video was excellent. Much more meaningful than the tour of the new Grand Ole Opry at Opryland.
