Not up to par
cocoamarley
, Feb 2020
This tour was advertised to include Belle Mear and after I paid for it and confirmed, I was told that was an old tour and I must “ have booked through a third party.” The state museum was interesting, but I really hadn’t intended to go there as there were other things I wanted to do. The trip to the Hermitage was a little long and the food at the restaurant there was horrible. The tour guide was not up to par- after every little presentation she would say, “Any questions, guys?” Just didn’t think that was the best way to address visitors. Overall, it was an average tour that drug on too long. I would advise just taking yourself- then you could eat at a better place.

Historic Nashville: Andrew Jackson's Hermitage & Belle Meade Plantation
, Oct 2019
Both The Hermitage and the Belle Meade Plantation were great destinations to visit. i was disappointed with he Gray Line Bus Company driver and buffet lunch. He was very knowledgeable and spoke well, however, he lacked a friendly personality and did not interact well with customers. Those individuals that work in the "Hospitality Industry" should be friendly and outgoing. Personally, I did not feel the food was that great and the buffet didn't even have fried chicken breasts.

The tour was first rate and on schedule. Both the Hermitage and Belle-Meade Plantations are worth visiting to learn and see the local history. The driver was very informative, polite, and did an overall excellent job.

Great tour of this historic home in Nashville. The guides are very professional and informative. We absolutely enjoyed this tour. Plus it also includes Belle Meade, another beautiful historic mansion and property in Nashville. So interesting...

Fast talkin’ Bus driver

The bus driver tried TOO hard. He gave us so much information and talked so fast that it was hard to absorb most of it. Overall though it was a good tour.

Disappointed!

We were told 2xs by 2 different agents that the tour which began at 9:00 AM would last 7 hours and we would be back at our hotel at 3:30. When we arrived at The Hermitage the driver informed us that the tour would end at 3:45 and we could expect to be back at our hotel at 5:00pm. Because we had an airplane to catch we had to leave the tour early and at our own expense ( $20.00) use uber to get us back in time. Poor communication at this company and misrepresentation. We never would have taken this tour had we known!

Belle Meade and the Hermitage

We were both very pleased with this tour. Logistically, it was done very well, with timely pick-ups and drop offs. The driver had an ongoing patter which was informative if not a bit too fast paced. Both plantations are gorgeous and well maintained. At Belle Meade, a series of costumed docents led us into the various rooms--their script and delivery were wonderfully done. The Hermitage was great as well, although the description of Jackson was somewhat too favorable (par for the course!). My wife and I both enthusiastically recommend this tour.
