As you travel, hear how Naples is one of Europe’s oldest cities, with roots stretching back to the 4th century BC, and how its historical center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its handsome plazas, palaces and castles. Visit Naples Cathedral (Duomo di San Gennaro) the 13th-century church dedicated to the city’s patron saint Gennaro and see inside its fresco-coated Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro. I seriously recommend that you avoid this tour and the company which is responsible for running it (Project Napoli Service). They have some serious problems with scheduling and providing tours that conform to the description listed on the Viator website. To expand on my comments. I was picked up as scheduled and conducted to the meeting area close to the Naples Cathedral. After waiting on the bus for twenty-five minutes, the English speaking group (5) were told that our guide had not shown up and we should "go into the cathedral and look around on our own". After just a few minutes inside the cathedral with no help from anyone, we were told to exit the building and then put on a bus with a Spanish speaking guide and an additional group of about 16 people. Our small group had become a larger group and our guide was forced to use both languages for the tour.As a result of the late start we rushed through the city with limited historical commentary (most of the comments were just anecdotes about where to get the best food, housing prices or historical legends with little factual basis. After the stop for the panoramic view of Naples and photographs, we were rushed to the Plebecito Square given about five minutes of commentary concerning some of the buildings and then rushed through the square to a restaurant with a bathroom so the people who were continuing on other tours could use the facilities.Considering the promises in the description of "What You Can Expect" on the Viator website, this tour was nothing but a scam. You could probably get a better picture of Naples using the available "hop on, hop off" bus tours.Don't waste your money.

This tour stopped at a number of city sights and our guide provided additional commentary en route to our destinations. We enjoyed our stops, but there was so much more of the city to see. A longer tour could have included more sights.

The tour was ok, it was a larger group than the 7 people we were expecting, but we got to see a couple of sights we hadn't seen walking around by ourselves. The Basilica was wonderful and the view from the hill was terrific. 2 hours was plenty of time, the city itself and Via Toledo can be done on your own.

The tour guide could hardly speak English. I had to serve as translator for the English speaking tourist, and I do not consider that that is my job.

This tour was so bad it doesn't deserve a rating, but I can't submit a review without providing one. We have had good experiences in the past using Viator, but this tour undid all the goodwill you had built up with us previously. Firstly, the tour was advertised as lasting two hours, but it ended after 90 minutes - apparently because you kept us sitting in the bus for over 30 minutes at the Cruise Terminal while you waited for passengers from a ship. Secondly, the tour was largely conducted in Spanish, although we and a number of passengers from the ship had booked a tour in English. It was clear that the guide - Andrea - was not comfortable speaking English - indeed, it was barely understandable. One particularly annoying aspect was that he used every opportunity to voice his cynical opinions on religion, politics and a number of other issues. We would have preferred information. He is of course entitled to his views, but not when we are paying for a guided tour. Finally, the itinerary was minimalist - we had already covered most of it on foot previously. It did not go to many of the main tourist spots - even though these are visited by the Hop-on Hop-off busses. These cost less, and we would have been better advised to use them.

This was a great trip to get an overview of the city with some history as well. Our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. Good if you have limited time or just want an overview.
