Good

Good for its price. Lots of facts and a good summary of the history behind Hitler, the party and its relation with the city. The only thing I would point out is that even though the tour lasts 2.5h and you walk for some time, you actually only visit a few interesting places, I guess this may be different without the corona restrictions, but still I imagined I would see more places related to Hitler and the 3rd Reich. Overall I am happy with the tour and its price.

Thanks Oriol for your honest opinion about our Tour, very happy that you enjoyed it. And yes, we are currently quite restricted walking into buildings, as they require different measurements than if we just spend time outside of the buildings. We hope to have you back around, so that we can also show you the other half of the tour!

Disappointing
Soren
, Oct 2020
I was disappointed with this tour. You didn't get anything you couldn't read yourself. The Texan guide was rushing through the streets and speed talking as if he was in a hurry. I think he was cause the tour ended one hour before the scheduled time. Also a little strange that even if we passed very close to Prinzregentenstrasse he didn't take us to see or even mentioned where Hitler lived when he came to Munich.
icon Response from Host , Oct 2020
Thanks Soren for your honest words and your opinion on our Third Reich Tour. If you could contact us directy and let us know who the guide was that would be great, as we have more than one guide from Texas, thanks a lot. We also want to follow this up so that we can ensure every customer is receiving the tour they paid for. We apologize for not visiting the building where Hitler used to live, as this is now a police station and they do not like visitors. Also, it is located around 20 min from the area of the Prinzregentenstraße that you visited, as it is a rather long street, and all this for just seeing the outside of the building is unfortunately not worth it. We still hope to have you back to Munich, as we would like to have you join another of our tours free of charge, so that we can show you that we do try to live up to the highest standarts in the tour-industry.

Very interesting

Very informative and so interesting to see all the sites, albeit a bit eerie due to the nature of the tour. Tour guide was very good - a little hard to hear him due to the mask but this is just due to covid times so can’t be helped. Met some lovely people on the tour too which is always a bonus.

Thanks a lot Michelle for the review on our Third Reich Walking Tour. Sorry regarding the hearing issues of the mask, but we are certainly the opinion, so are you, that this currently can not be helped. But we are very pleased that you had an overall great experience of our tour!

On Tuesday the 29th September 2020, me and Father enrolled on the tour . Have some prior knowledge before the day, we were astonished with the amount of detail, knowledge and how nice the guide, I would strongly recommend going on this trip if you would like to see where the roots of Nazi party started.

Informative tour of Munich
Sam_R
, Sep 2020
Josh was a very knowledgable tour guide and taught us more about Munich than just the third reich. There were also numerous pictures that we were shown which enhanced our understanding of the tour. The tour even lasted an extra 30 minutes so we well and truly got our money’s worth!

Interesting and knowledgable guide but organisation could be improved
Jonathan_T
, Sep 2020
We liked the tour itself and Dan as a guide, who combined knowledge of the history with family memories. Comments for further improvement. We knew the broad time line of Hitler's rise to power but for those who don't it might help to have the tour a bit more organised by date of events. And, although we understand the reasons, it was odd for us to travel across Munich to the main station meeting point and then back by S-bahn to Marienplatz. Is it not possible for what after all is a walking tour to meet somewhere central to the walk itself
icon Response from Host , Sep 2020
Thanks a lot Jonathan for your honest opinion and comments our our Tour. We do see it as a privilege to have a tour office inside the main train station, to give our guests a point for check in where they can meet our staff and have questions rolled out of the way before the tour starts. We surely could also start our tours inside the city center, but then we would not have this option of our office, which many of our guests highly appreciate. We are happy to hear that you still had a great time on our tour with Dan.

Excellent Tour

I loved this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and had personal family connection to the history, which made it even better. My only suggestion is to let the group sit down in a couple places where it's possible. Otherwise, it was such a wonderful introduction to ww2 history in Munich!
icon Response from Host , Sep 2020
Thank you Mariane for your comments on our Third Reich Tour, which we surely will take into account and make sure, that we locate the tour in a certain way, that there will be more seating available. Not an easy task in Munichs city center, but we will work on it!

Dan, our guide was passionate and very knowledgeable. It was so interesting to hear his own family history and how it entwined with the events that happened during the rise of the Nazi party; I thank him for his honesty, I learnt so much. A must-do tour whilst in Munich. Highly recommended.
