Excellent Neuschwanstein Castle tour

Excellent way to visit the castle from Munich. Eduardo is the best tour guide ever! I would have enjoyed History classes if he'd been my teacher :)

Wanted a train but took a bus

The trip was great, but we booked the tour to go by train from Munich, but they said the train was full so we had to take a bus while waiting at the train station. This was really disappointing. We did not receive any compensation for this change. The discussion by the guide about Ludwig II was really all just gossip about his personal life with unsubstantiated claims. I would have rather head facts about the castle and the king instead of rumors.

A fairy tale

The trip to the castle was fantastic. Taking in the Bavarian castle from the train and the snow covered alps in the distance. We start to learn about Ludwig and his unbelievable life - from his fascination with Wagner to the incredible castles he built. We had a fabulous day. Our guide Patrick was a brilliant storyteller and also looked after us the whole day - even offering dining suggestions for after the trip. A fantastic day seeing this fairy tale castle and discovering its history

Worth the organized tour. We were going to do this in our own, but after using this service, we realized it was invaluable. Travel convenience and the information provided. A guide is so worth it.

Bad weather, great guides!

We had awful weather for our trip. Pouring rain, fog everywhere, couldn’t see much of the castle except up close. Despite the bad weather, our guide Patrick kept the energy and made the day fun still! He was engaging and organized. Everything ran smoothly from place to place. Looking forward to coming back again with fingers crossed for better weather!

Beautiful and exhausting

This tour was really cool and the sights are stunning. However, what it not included in the details of this tour is that you have to walk up a steep mountain for about 45 minutes before you get to the castle. Had I known this, I may have rethought this tour. Nonetheless, I don’t regret it and it was a beautiful experience. We had Aileen and she was fantastic!

Neuschwanstein Castle Excursion

The meeting time of 9 is way too early if you like to be come early!. Understand it is possibly as come people come late. The train actually leaves as 9.52, even with a briefing before that there is a lot of waiting around - especially if it is a cold day. Charlie Hacker was very good guide and is recommended.

AMazing tour, what a great day

Patrick is the BEST tour guide, give him a raise, you won't find a better guide anywhere. He made this day absolutely special, getting us all on trains and buses and at the best photo stops on time and telling us the fascinating story of eccentric King Ludwig. Loved it. Met great people. I was there in autumn and the trees are possibly more beautiful than the castle.
