Paid for a complete tour got half of that.

We were hustled through small rooms in a large group. Some of us could not even see what the guide was talking about. Then told second floor was closed. Then got to the grand foyer and that was blocked off. When it came time to see stage and orchestra pit they opened 3 boxes for about 25 people.

We had a great time! What a beautiful place steeped in Milanese culture and history. If was especially helpful to have a knowledgeable tour guide explain the things in the museum and the actual opera house.

We see the many aspects of La Scala (we even had a private ballet show, because they were testing the light plan; we were lucky)

Interesting tour of a piece of Milanese history

I booked this guided tour just before going to Milan. When I arrived I had the tour guide to myself. The tour guide was friendly, spoke good english and was very informative. The tour included a walk through the museum with lots of interesting facts about La Scala and it's history. It ended with viewing the inside from one if the boxes. Overall it was good but you spend most of your time in the museum with maybe 5-10 minutes in the actual opera house.

The tour although only for an hour was very informative, thoroughly enjoyed it. The history of La Scala is fascinating

Nothing Special

This is no "behind the scenes" tour. There's no value to this compared to just buying a ticket and walking around. She stood in front of a diagram of the theater and read the text printed on the screen.

La Scala is beautiful but I did not particularly enjoy the tour as I had a lot of trouble understanding the guide's English.
