Board a van and travel with your archeologist-guide from Mexico City to Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the City of the Gods. A former Mesoamerican indigenous civilization that predates the Maya and Aztecs, Teotihuacan was once the largest city in Mexico, reaching its heyday in the 1st century CE (AD) when the Sun Pyramid was constructed.

Be one of the first visitors to arrive at the archeological park, right when it opens. In relative tranquility, wander through plazas and discover the pyramids without jostling around crowds. Enjoy taking unobstructed photos of must-see structures like the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, also known as the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, as well as the Palace of Quetzalpapalot.

Gain special insight into the complex’s less-visited monuments, including intricate murals and other architectural nuances. Hear about the latest archeological discoveries, the lifestyles of the inhabitants of this ancient city and theories behind the city’s decline.

Huff your way up the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid, the main axis of Teotihuacan. From the top, enjoy your bird’s-eye vantage point of the Avenue of the Dead, the primary road that runs through the center of the city, which separated the city and stretched from the Moon Plaza in the north to the Great Compound in the south.

After your Teotihuacan tour, hop aboard your transport and head to an obsidian workshop to learn more about the black volcanic rock native to the area. Chat with a local family and sample several liqueurs made from cactus, as well as mezcal, tequila, and pulque. For lunch, select from a variety of traditional Mexican dishes (own expense), before enjoying transport back to the central meeting point.

I got billed almost twice the amount of the tour .. I called 2 uber in the morning I g and one of them cancel my trip when I was waiting for 15min .. so I had to call another one .. I arrive on site at 7:11 and they lived without me at 7:09 .. the guy never reply to my text message... I was talking to another girl that do the tour and she call the tour guy to let hi know that I was here .. he told the lady to tell to catch a cab at another location and they will be there for me .. I did it and wait for 30 min for nothing .. so yeah pretty bad experience .. I'm not gonna book ever again with viator .. the customer service told me I can rebook for the next day with 17$ usd rebate on the tour .. but still I paid almost twice the price at the first place and they do nothing about it .. never again they scap my vibe for the whole day

Hi, we are really sorry that you did not get to do the experience. The meeting time was 6:50am, so after waiting for 20 minutes, the tour had to leave, respecting the experience for the rest of the group that was on time at the meeting place. Arriving at least 10 minutes before the meeting time as we recommend, is very important to avoid situations like this. The Uber problems, unfortunatelly are completely out of our control, and we gave you the option of rescheduling for the next day for a fee so you did not miss the opportunity to visit Teotihuacán with one of our amazing guides. We hope to see you soon in any of our tours available throughout the world. Best regards!

Amazing Tour with Jerson and Georadar Technology!

Jerson was an amazing, funny, and helpful tour guide. He is able to amuse you and tell you a lot of nice stories about what is wrong / right in history books as well as give you a lot of reading recommendations after your tour! I recommend you to take a bottle of tequila and take a shot every time Jerson says "Georadar Technology". Believe me, you will not be disappointed! Enjoy your tour! :)

Great tour with english and spanish speaking guides. Even if don’t pay attention, its a great experience and def worth it if visiting Mexico City. Only a hour drive by air conditioned bus. 7am trip is the way to go as you get back in town by 3pm. Beat the heat and crowds.

A great experience!

Josue was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable. He made the whole experience even more interesting. Definitely a lot of walking so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Prior to arriving, they make a pit stop in case you need to use the restroom and you're able to grab some drinks and snacks. The tequila tasting was also a lot of fun and being of Mexican descent I learned new things about pulque. I definitely recommend this tour.

We didn’t get what we bought.

The tour was nice and we liked Alexa (the guide) BUT we bought an Spanish tour and got a bilingual tour with English which would be okay if the explanations didn’t take twice as much time as they did so everything was a little rushed.

Seeing the site was nice...
Misha_D

Seeing the site was nice however it was very delayed and the group moved very slowly. If it was more efficient it would have been more enjoyable.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Dear Amig@ Thank you for your comments, it may be that the shared tours are sometimes a little slow, due to the variety of tourists and their mobility conditions. Maybe you could consider a private tour, it can be adapted to your time and if you like to go deeper into a subject, it can be done. Do not hesitate to consider it for your next trip.
