Amazing

This tour was amazing! I loved having a smaller group and a fully bilingual guide! Raul was so knowledgeable about the Mayans! He was also sure to make sure we were all comfortable and well fed too! Lol. Van was comfortable, guide at the ruins was in-depth, the cenote was amazing, and the lunch was superb! I made the right choice with this tour, for sure!!

I have taken many tours and this tour with Hernan of Chitzen Itza, Izamal and a cenote rates among the best experiences I've had! Hernan provides great information on the Mayan culture via presentations during the tour and answered all questions along the way. Hernan is obviously someone who loves his job. All our expectations were met (and exceeded). Visiting the Mayan family and enjoying their hospitality and their very own cenote was very special. Well off the beaten tracks of those "highly traveled" and visited places, you'll enjoy the countryside and get a better understanding of how people live outside the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. I highly recommend this experience!!

Hernán is a pro. He’ll get you to Chichen Itza before the crowds and the heat, and he’s extremely involved and knowledgeable about the communities he’s showing us. The cenote at the end is INCREDIBLE. It’s in the backyard of a family in Sotuta, near Izamal. It’s such a special experience and worth every minute!

An Excellent Tour

Do not hesitate to book this tour. We arrived ahead of all the crowds allowing us to really appreciate the ruins. Our tour guide took us to a Mayan pyramid close to the center of Izamal we were able to climb. The highlight though, was the Cenote and lunch. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, hospitable, and this tour was an outstanding value!

MY guide Hernan was someone I would always recommend and gladly book a tour with again. His knowledge of the Mayan rituals and culture was eye-opening. The swim in a private Cenote was enchanting. The ride was very relaxing and fun. Thanks again Hernan, your the best!
