The Calypso doesn’t disappoint

Friendly and attentive crew. Tim McDill, singer/songwriter, provided excellent live entertainment. Sunset views were breathtaking. Bring a jacket! It can be quite windy.

Not happy.

The rib dinner was dry, over cooked. We went out, ended up going as close to shore as possible & kept circling around in the same spot at the cliff, not even the ocean. I was embarrassed!Shame

Best cheese cake ever! Food was amazing and the ride was breathtaking. Overall 11/10. It was a little windy but it didn’t effect the night.

Great cruise staff, poor Viator booking experience

The cruise itself was great because of the captain (Trent) and wait staff and singer (Tim). However, booking through Viator itself was terrible. They consistently got food orders wrong, they don’t answer emails or chat, and do not communicate directly with the cruise company. Even the Help chat disconnected with me while I was trying to ask for help. It was only through the professional of the Calypso cruise staff and a bit of luck that our family could eat! Book at your own confidence in luck!

I feel the cruise was a bit over priced for what you get, we had selected our dinner choices when booking, my husband was told at the time of dinner they couldn’t fulfill his choice, yet a couple of minutes later we saw another table being served the item he had selected. I told them i felt like i should have received a partial refund and wanted to speak with someone, i got a blank stare and was offered unlimited drinks, about 15 min later magically my husband dinner appeared after he was served something different. The food wasn’t great for the price u pay, Beware the ride was choppy, some people lost their plates

Don't Waste Your Time AND Money

I would not suggest this cruise...even if its on sale. First, prior to boarding, the captain addressed the group to inform them above COVID-19 safety measures; however, it was disturbing and disappointing to see that some of the staff was sporadically not wearing their facial masks while serving the guests. Second, the serving timing was horrible. On the first deck, the guests got their food and waited a while for their drinks while the second deck got their drinks and waited a while for their food. Lastly, which was the icing on the cake, at the end of the cruise, rather than encourage the passengers to tip the servers, the captain announced the amount each person should be tipping and the servers went around to each group to ask if they're providing cash or doing Venmo for their tip. Incredibly unprofessional and awkward!!!

For the price I was not impressed at all. I was under the impression that everyone sat at their own table... but no. We were sat at the same table and directly next to 2 other couples and it got increasingly awkward as time went on. The food was extremely subpar... We ended up facing the wind on the deck once we ate just to get away from people. If you're looking for a romantic sunset dinner don't book here because this is definitely not worth the money.
