Waste of time
, Oct 2019
If you are on a cruise ship- dont do this. With many ships in port, too many people and not enough buses. We wasted large amount of time waiting - and buses were not as frequent as advertised. They were all full and just drove on by. The operator must know this but wont put on extra buses. Many many people at stops were getting refunds by the attendants. We did too. Palma is not that big- taxis are cheep.

We took the Hop On Hop Off bus tour in Palma de Mallorca from the cruise Ship terminal on Sat, 10/12/2019 and the line was super long. But what was most frustrating was that the buses that stopped every 30-45 mins were so full that only a few people were allowed to board each time.

Poorly organized
, Oct 2019
To start, not enough buses. Needed to wait for third bus due to demand and therefore lost 40 minutes in touring time.waiting for that third bus. Once on the bus, it seemed only half of the plug-in terminals for the audio-guide worked in all the languages...the other half only worked in Spanish regardless of the setting! The boat tour is a boat ride...there is absolutely no information provided on what we are seeing. When we went to view the castle...we discovered that the tour company had failed to print the passes even though we had paid for the castle tour. So...if you are willing to hop around selecting seats with working language options and you don't mind sitting separated from your travel companions...go for the hop-on/hop-off. Don't waste your money on th he boat ride unless that is all you want-just a boat ride!. If you book the castle tour...check your printed ticket after you hand in your voucher to make sure it is printed.

Hop on Hop off Palma Majorca Spain
, Oct 2019
Ticket was supposed to be for bus, boat tour and castle. No castle ticket in conversion as It was not stated on the Viator document. Boat tour was pleasant, but a waste of an hour. Line at cruise port for bus was terrible. Walk about a half mile and get on at stop 13. Busses were crowded and didn't seem to run frequently enough. On one bus several of the ear phone jacks didn't work. Overall a nice bus tour, but improvements can be made. Some staff were extremely helpful. The two I tried to speak with at the cruise port stop were not very helpful.
Mallorca is a beautiful destination.

We really enjoyed the tour and the place. It was well organized and easy to get around except the pickup at certain points were not always as stated timely.
Not so Great
, Aug 2019
This tour wasn't so great. We weren't even given any headsets. The island was pretty but we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. The cathedral was massive and glorious as we rode by, and that section looked really nice to visit. We wanted to spend some time at a beach which was not communicated clearly by our driver when we asked. He mentioned it would take another hour/or taxi to get to. When we figured it out, all you have to do is get off by the cathedral and then walk for about fifteen minutes to a beach. Not sure why the driver couldn't tell us this. It was a bit disappointing when you only have a certain amount of time from a cruise. Getting back from the beach to the ship in a taxi was 10 euros, so that wasn't too bad. If you have time, get back on the hop on bus to take you back to the ship which we would have done if we things turned out better. We also found out that Cala Mayor beach is beautiful, that is the one you would need a public bus or taxi to get to on your own. Try to make the most of your day so you can enjoy it to the fullest. It is a pretty island!
Complete disaster
, Aug 2019
No explanation of where to get the ticket except the address which turned ou to be a portable street stand hidden in a huge crowd. That address was said to be short walk from end of pier but we docked at different pier 4 km away and finally had to pay 15 EU for taxi. Bus people were surly and unhelpful. Buses left only half full with 40-50 people still in line. Total disaster. More like stealing you money. Don’t do this tour
Best way to see everything
, Jul 2019
This was the best way to see everything in a short time. Being that we have limited time on shore from our cruise ship, it’s a no brainer to get the tour this way you can see everything.
A little too quick
, Jul 2019
The driver was racing through the town. The head sets were very hard to hear through. The audio was mostly tourist music. Need to be more accessible to cruise ships. Was expensive to travel to their main location to pick-up our tickets.
Lack of accurate directions to bus stop

The city was beautiful. The only problem was getting from the port to the bus stop. The directions were not clear. There was four (4) other families that had the same challenge.

Terrible experience....
Vela G
, May 2019
We tried to use that bus on 5/11 and the experience was horrible... After an hour wait the bus (license plates 3228 JRG) appeared, at that point there were about 30 people waiting on Stop # 13. There were a few available seats on the bus, but bus driver refused us to use them and forced us to leave the bus with explanation that he had "to leave space for next stops". Overall our experience was terrible and I'd not recommend to use Hop On Hop Off bus in Palma.
Be aware of long lines!!
, May 2019
We had to wait almost an hour to get on the hop on hop off bus if you are getting it from a cruise ship!!!
, May 2019
We bought tickets on Viator. We had to walk nearly 50 minutes to get to the first stop to catch the bus. We got off halfway through the route. When we tried to get back on, we had to line up behind people who were buying first time tickets at the bus stop. Having a ticket in hand does not give you any priority to get back on. And they would not let everyone on the bus because they said they needed to leave open seats for people to get on at the next stop. So they made us wait for the next bus, which is another 15 minutes and no guarantee you will get on. We had to walk 1 hour and 20 minutes back to our ship. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.
Good Palma de Mallorca option to get around
, Sep 2018
Bus stop closest to dock was not as far as previous post suggested. The whole tour is about 1.5 hours. Yet the bus stops at one particular area for 20-30 minutes. So whole tour approximately 2 hours. Castle option was great because the views of Palma de Mallorca were amazing from the top of the castle.
Does what it says on the tin. Good...

Does what it says on the tin. Good value and a good way to get around. We booked it for 15 on this website however the price on the bus was only 10.
Relaxed sightseeing

Unless you are into the beach or water sports, there is not a lot to do at this port. The HOHO bus is always a relaxing way to see the town and decide where you want to spend some time. Good value.
Palma de Mallorca
, Aug 2018
This was a wonderful and fun tour. Palma de Mallorca is a beautiful city - a taste of the old and new together. It is a small city built in the hills of Palma . The shoreline is filled with boats of all sizes and the beaches are beautiful.
Waste of Money
, Jul 2018
We struggled to find where to get on the excursion. Finally found the boat ride, which was just putting around the harbor. We couldn’t hear any information about anything. When we got on th bus, no one gave us headphones and after we asked for them, 1/2 of the jacks didn’t work and thr ones that did were too difficult to understand what they were saying. The bus broke down and we were told to get on another overcrowded bus where we had to sit inside with no breeze or AC. Would not recommend.
