Side trip from London to South Hampton with a stop at Stonehenge.
Ann G
, Nov 2019
We were booked to take a cruise out of South Hampton. We booked this excursion to see Stonehenge on the way. What an amazing experience. The bus picked us up right in time. The bus was comfortable and had plenty of room. Our tour guide provided us with many great stories. We had a bathroom break halfway there which helped refresh and rejuvenate. Stonehenge was amazing, a must see, if possible. Our driver maneuvered the bus like a pro. I would definitely recommend!!

There are not enough words to say how perfect this excursion and transfer was. The bus, guide, and driver were excellent.
Excellent Tour and Smooth Transfer!
, Sep 2019
Communication was outstanding from beginning to end. Emails concerning our meeting spot were promptly answered and a very convenient location was arranged. Paul met us with a welcome sign and off we went in the van to pick up several other travelers then we went to the meeting place for the transfer coach. Paul showed us sights in the area including Hyde Park. Katie was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and her information about Stonehenge and Salisbury was helpful and interesting. She went with us to the Stones and even volunteered to take pictures of us! We had time to stop at the gift shop and get a cold snack for the coach ride to Southampton. I highly recommend this tour transfer for cruisers.

Easy way to see Stonehenge on the way to cruise terminal in Southhampton

Our guide and driver (Voichek and Martin) were wonderful and made the trip to the port very enjoyable. It was a great way to get to see a world landmark and get to the ship from our central London hotel.

you were over a half hour late in arriving to pick us up and we were not notified of the delay and had no way to contact you in London...then we had to carry our luggage two blocks to the bus...otherwise everything was fine

Very happy with this excursion!
, Aug 2019
Highly recommended for transport from London to cruise port. It wasn't a terribly long time spent at Stonehenge, only about 90 minutes. So if you desire a longer Stonehenge experience, it might be better to choose a different excursion. But it was plenty of time for us to visit the monument and have a little something to eat. Both guide Reeta and driver Neal were excellent!
So peaceful and memorable

This tour started with a small-van pick up at our hotel and nearby guests in London, and then these smaller vans would meet the larger bus and we all get in and go. The logistics were a bit unnerving, as they showed up at 7:30am when our time said 8am--but that pick up confirmation that said 8am happened months prior, so the time could have changed on their end, but this wasn't communicated. We didn't have breakfast but... they did a stop about an hour later than our pickup and we were able to get food. The trip was fantastic to Stonehenge because you had enough time to take a shuttle there and back, or walk to Stonehenge. We opted to walk there and then shuttle back so that we could take our time and enjoy the 30-minute walk (we walk fast) and see Stonehenge as we approach. I have to say, even though it was technically "crowded" on that day, I really did feel like I was alone! I could take my time and inspect the stones, look and meditate at the beauty, and walk slowly around listening to the electronic tour headset. The gift shop had a bunch of Stonehenge branded tchotchkes and some of the Preseli Spotted Dolerite (the same stones of parts of Stonehenge) as jewelry but we didn't buy anything. It's nice to know that you could, though. We had plenty of time to even see quickly the museum, which is worth the visit because they have an immersive experience where you're standing in a round circle room as if you're standing inside Stonehenge and you see the sunrise and sunset and hear the people in the video cheering. It was really wonderful and gave me chills of excitement! We had enough time to walk to Stonehenge, take our time going around the monument, taking the shuttle back, stopping at the gift shop, museum, and the "village replication" of what a Stonehenge village would have looked like, a bathroom break, and then get to the bus with 10 minutes to spare. We're in our 40s, but the older guests weren't complaining so I'm sure they were able to see all they could, too.
A perfect connection

This excursion was a perfect way to transfer to our cruise out of Southampton while also seeing Stonehenge!! Even though there were some people on the trip who thought they were special and didn't need to abide by the time schedule, we connected with our cruise ship with time to spare!!
PreCruise Transfer with Stonehenge Visit

This is a great way to transfer from London to Southampton to start a cruise that adds a visit to Stonehenge. The tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. It is an excellent value when comparing it to a simple ground transfer to the port.
