Meeting point: The usual meeting point with our guides and buses is on the outskirts of the port just 10 minutes by bus from where the ship is, passengers must take a bus which waits for them inside the port (free service) and then transfer them to the Departure, we will be waiting for you with a sign that says "LIMA DISCOVER" that will be the meeting point, it is recommended to take the bus 30 minutes before the start of the tour, if for some reason the bus that picks them up from the port You can take the exit and take them to another place, you must contact us before leaving the port to coordinate the new place where we will be waiting for you. Important Note: on some occasions the bus that takes them out of the port also takes them to a nearby shopping center, if so, they should contact us before leaving to coordinate our meeting. Note: if the ship arrives on the same day of the tour, the start time will be later 10:00 am or 10:30 am, if the ship leaves the same day of arrival we will cancel lunch time to meet the itinerary and to see all the attractions of Lima, we will arrive on time back to the port.

I couldn't have planned a better tour!

We didn't like any of the cruise ship offerings, so we took this one. They met us with a sign just outside the cruise terminal, and gave us a wonderful set of things to see, capped by a lunch in a nice restaurant on the side of the square. Be sure to order a Pisco Sour as your beverage.

We had a great tour around Lima city. Our guide Vilko, was excellent, his English was perfect and his knowledge of the city wide and varied, it was like a friend guiding you. The only downside was the 45 minute drive to get into the city, but that’s what you have to do due to the increased security measures. Lima has increased its tourist police and regular police to meet the needs. The vehicle used by the tour company was excellent, fully air conditioned and comfortable. All in all we had an excellent tour and would recommend it.

We usually look for local tours that are similar to those offered by cruise ships, but have smaller groups and cost less. This tour did not disappoint! We were met promptly by our guide and our driver. A second guide was along which was helpful in keeping the group together when walking through the downtown area of Lima. The van was new, bottled water was provided and our guide was knowledgeable and well spoken. As for this particular tour, it provided a great look at some important government buildings and two fabulous churches. We were taken to a local restaurant for lunch (order from the menu, spend as much or as little as you like) and it was a good chance to sample local cuisine. Most importantly bathroom breaks were well spaced and very clean! Five stars for Discover Lima!

Not worth the money. The place of interest we didn’t go at all. He gave us little time in the interesting places and a lot of time for lunch in a expensive but bad food. Didn’t leave the cruise till 10:00 a.m and started back at 3:00p.m.. tour guide was not knowledgeable.

We booked this tour by Viator. When we came from our cruise ship and followed there instructions, they are waiting for us just outside the port We had a good driver, well english spoken tour guides (forgot there names) with lots of information, samples ect. I will book absolutely again tours by Viator.

This was supposed to be a 6 hour tour with a good walk around the centre. It turned out to be an 80 minute wait in a minibus for someone who didnt turn up, over 3.5 hours driving in a cramped minibus in Lima traffic, started touring down an historic street then two of the group got stuck in a tourist shop for 40 mins. Then a five minute walk across the central square ... to a tourist restaurant for lunch.. where the tour guides ate free. Back in the minibus and the traffic we eventually stopped in an interesting food market, for all of 15 mins and were then hurriedly driven, as fast as traffic allowed, the 40 mins back to drop off The only reason its not one star is the guysdoing the trip were nice

Very good tour, guides, we had two, were excellent. We were met on time, good quality vehicle with complimentary bottled water. We were on a cruise and we were warned about security many times. I have to say we felt safe and secure at all times. At the end of the trip there was a mixup about our drop off. This was NOT the guides fault and they went out of their way to deposit us all safely, this meant extra time and driving for them. Only just got back home so review a bit sketchy, however I would recommend this company.

Great tour!! Cruise passengers had to take a free shuttle to get outside the port where we were met by Jose. We had booked a van tour with Lima Discover but it turned out to be just the two of us. Jose was an excellent guide who spoke very good English. He took us to the historic center of Lima where we walked around while Jose explained all the buildings. We visited the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo where we had a private tour and even went into the Catacombs. We walked down to the river to see more sights. Then he took us to the upscale area of Miraflores, a newer section and Barranco where we saw beautiful old buildings and street art. We had a lovely walk along a path on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and beaches. The path had beautiful gardens, lookouts and sculptures along the way. Jose did everything to make sure we saw all the different sections of Lima and had a very good knowledge of his city. He was very helpful and gave my disabled husband extra help and consideration in choosing the places to visit.

We had an all day tour with three very knowledgeable tour guides who spoke perfect English. We ate a lunch, on our own, at Peru Gourmet and the food was delicious as the menu offered many different selections and price ranges. The information they shared about their country was authentic and they answered any questions the group asked. We liked the small group concept and easy pick-up at the port.

Pick up was confusing did not say pick up at ship, or port gate. Had to take ship shuttle to port gate. Agent was there and we got on to bus, Transported us into Lima On the bus we learned about some produce of the area In town we Seen churches, walked around square. Lunch time which should have been 45 minutes turned out to almost 3 hours. We lost time in seeing other sites. On return trip learned about Pesco, and taken to market. Also learned about fruits and veg. Went to Love Park, which was beautiful. All in all the guides were very good.
