Overview

Calling all nature lovers, this tour allows you to swim alongside wild sea lions in their natural environment. Departing Lima, travel by boat to the Guanera Islands (Islas Guaneras), home to Humboldt penguins, guano birds, and sea lions. Plunge into the water to enjoy a supervised swim with the marine mammals before admiring rock formations and other wildlife on your return journey. Refreshments are included.

Spectacular! This is definitely the top activity to do in Lima. We did both Palomino islands and Ballestas islands and this adventure was by far a much better experience.

Great experience, bad tour company

Awesome experience, but I'd recommend it with a different company. We started 40 minutes late and ended 40 minutes late. They clearly didn't have enough wetsuits because for some reason they didn't expect everyone to get in, so we ended up with ones that were way too big for the frigid waters. It's straight up dangerous to be passing out loose shorties in that frigid water.

Well-organized and informative, as well as fun and adventurous! We had a great time interacting with the sea lions in their natural habitat. Our guides did a great job of making sure we kept a safe distance, but also helped to get close if we wanted one to touch our feet. The wetsuits were a must in February, the water was not so bad with it on but still pretty cold and I can’t imagine it would be enjoyable without one.

This is my second time swimming with the sea lions because I wanted to capture the experience with a waterproof camera. The crew was fantastic. The captain maneuvered the boat so everyone had a chance to get a good view of the wildlife. The crew was efficient and friendly.
