Not worth the cost of the ticket

Although it’s an amazing building and very historical the strict rules and no picture taking defeats the cost of the entry. The tour guide was very stiff very uptight. We felt he was very defensive with his answers to our questions

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate your comments as it helps us to improve our service. We spent some time talking to the guide in Tibet and would like to share our opinions with you.
First of all, I would like to say that each traveler who goes to Tibet needs a special Tibet permit apart from the China visa. This policy suggests that when you are in Tibet, one can not travel on your own in Tibet. Each of the itinerary short or long will have to pre- arranged through travel company. It also means from the moment that you arrive into Tibet, you will be accompanied by a local guide through out your trip. And in fact, this policy is for every foreign travelers of all over the world. In the future, we will add this into the trip note to make sure that people understand the situation before they book the trip.
Secondly. We know people from other countries might have different opinions on Tibet. But our guides in Tibet will only speak those of what they learned and what they know, since they grow up in New Tibet. Therefore, we ask for your understanding on this issue.
