Amazing Coffee and Chocolate Experience

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing experience at North Fields. Our guide Rafael was very friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining as well. We learned so much about the coffee and cocoa harvesting and roasting process and the tastings were beyond delicious. I'm so glad we chose to do this tour and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

A Must Do!

So glad we did this, one of my favorites. Such great information. The tastings were excellent: chocolate tea, hot cocoa, coffee, chocolate. Fun to participate in the making. Raphael was so knowledgeable, fun, and does a great job connecting with people. We feel like we made a new friend! Me, my husband, and daughters LOVED it. It was so good that we purchased the tea, liquor, and chocolate to enjoy when we got back home.

LOVED this experience!! You get to learn about the whole process starting from the history, to the planting, the harvest, and production. You’ll also get to see lots of different plants and some wildlife. The tour guide was very friendly and the whole thing was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Fun and Educational Experience for the whole family!

What a fantastic experience! I was looking around for a coffee/chocolate tour and decided on this one. I honestly was blown away on how educational and beautiful their business was. What an amazing Local family business! 4 must knows! 1) if you're in the fortuna area they pick you up from your hotel - you have to let them know when you book 2) they lend you an umbrella if it looks like it might rain- there's a little walk to their crops and I was in sandals but, it was fine. Most of the tour is sheltered - just if anyone wants to know. 3) you get an in depth experience on the process of chocolate and coffee and of course you get to try it! There are many tastings. 4)My family and I actually did the tour in Spanish since, it's our native tongue. The Spanish and English tour get divided into two separate tours and the timings of it were perfect so, we never clashed with the other tour. It is a well organized local business. We learned so much about agriculture and about the family that owns the place. Geraldo was our guide! What a passionate hard worker! He loves his job and it reflected on the tour that's how we were able to have a fantastic time. Everyone in that place of business was super friendly though We were a family of 3. My mother, 57, my 20 year old brother, and myself, 30. My mother still can't stop talking about the process of coffee! Thanks for this amazing time! I highly recommend it!

Perfect way to spend an afternoon for chocolate and coffee lovers

An absolutely lovely experience. We did the afternoon tour after a morning of pretty intense outdoor activities and it was perfect!!! The tour guide is so so so nice, I learned a ton about coffee and chocolate production and the coffee was the best I’ve ever had. I bought 2 bags at the end but I probably would have bought like 4 if I had space in my suitcase. Really just a great, relaxing way to spend your afternoon (if you like coffee and chocolate)
