A long way for not a lot of time

I had an issue with this trip which I took up with Viator and they settled it to my satisfaction. Having said that, Malacca is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours drive each way from KL. Had I known it was quite that far I would not have booked the trip

Thanks for your review and Sorry for your bad experience about malaka tour that was not upto your expectaion. Malaka distance from KL is a reality and we will have to accept that. We are well clean about our trip duration and itinerary for each and every tour to able our customer to select services as per their own mood and schedule. Malaka day trip is a famous and most attractive activty and customers loves to get touch with these historical places and always leaves good reviews. Your review is not align with our services as we are fully respossable for our services and trip duration as we fulfilled as per advertised.

Malacca Day Trip from Kuala Lumpur

4 hours travelling (2 hours each way) and 4 hours there. The trip was basically a taxi service that dropped us at one part of town. Then picked us up and took us to lunch, which was average. Then dropped us at another part of town, before picking us up and transporting us back to hotel. There were a few tips on where to visit at the 2 drop-offs but no tour guiding was given. As we had around an hour and a half at each drop off the driver/guide could have walked with us for say 30 minutes at each stop, giving some history and context. This didn't happen. Also there was supposed to be a bottle of water for each passenger (8 on our minibus) and there was 1 short so I didn't receive a bottle. I ended up buying my own drink but a sign of goodwill would have been for the driver to offer to but one for me. Not a lot of money but poor customer service.

Terrible tour; you're better off just wandering on your own

While the tour guide was nice enough, this tour was just terribly organized. Our giant bus lumbered through the tiny streets of Melaka to take us to completely uninteresting destinations like an ordinary church....and a well. The best part of the tour was the walk along Jonker Walk, but it should have been set up like a food/shopping tour, rather than stops at temples.

We are extremely alarmed by your statement regarding your review on our page. I would like to personally assist you with making things right.we cannot track your name with our bookings. Please could you contact me at ota@asnitours.com or call our team at +60196969325 with your booking reference start from BR-xxxxxx. Malacca is a heritage site is one of the country's most unassuming states. Boasting a good blend of historic attractions – from the salmon-pink Stadhuys to the Jonker Walk. We make sure to follow our itinerary and this is one of our best moving tour. We’ll work with you to resolve this issues as quickly as possible. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about our customers. We value our customers opinions and waiting for your response.

We were surprised to be picked up by...

We were surprised to be picked up by a car and driver when we had expected a bus. He was on time and could speak very good English. During the drive, Neson explained the history of Malaysia, the changes that have taken place and gave an insight into everyday life. He was well informed and entertaining. On arrival at Malacca, we had two hours to explore on our own. Our guide suggested doing a boat trip down the river which we were very pleased we chose to do and would reccomend that to others as it was interesting and gave a different perspective to the town. After that we spent some time in Jonker Street before going for lunch. An enjoyable day out from the city.

As long as you are fully aware of...

As long as you are fully aware of timings - this is a good trip. It's about 2 - 2.5 hours by coach from KL to Malacca - and it is a case of 20 minutes here, 20 minutes there. All in all, around 1.5 - 2 hours total spent at the tourist sites - an hour having lunch normal chinese - nothing malaccan and then the journey back. You do get to see all the main bits of Malacca - time enough for photos and to say you have been there - but certainly no time to leisurely explore.

was good but more time was wasted on things which should not have even been visited. Things which should be seen like Museums were not even covered. Tour was spoiled by rude behavior of Guide and not eatable food.
