Best day in Montenegro
Melhem
, Jul 2020
It was our best day in Montenegro! You HAVE to go with Jelena. I never met such an open minded guide who loves interact with the "tourists". She knows everything about the country and gave even 100% for the really small group we were. Professional and warm at the same time!

It was a 6:40 a.m. pick up and an 8:40 p.m. drop off after seeing so much, all of it beautiful! Our lovely , little group and our great driver/guide Slavko made our way from one amazing place to another, through gorgeous fall foliage and postcard perfect scenes. Breakfast and lunch were a tad better than the usual tour meals, and the pace of the day was leisurely. Apparently we covered 70% of Montenegro in those 14 hours and though I was delighted to finally get out of the van at the end of the tour, I am very thankful for the great day this tour provided.

A 14hr tour taking in a third of Montenagro. But the time flew because every stop was well timed. The guide was a local and and a expert on all things related to Montenagro. The driver was outstanding, how he managed the mountainous terrain all day without mistake, had all the passengers in awe.
Highly recommended for those that want to see heaps in one day.

Even though I had a rental car for my trip between Croatia and Montenegro, it was definitely worth parking the car at the hotel and having a guided tour of the north. The tight winding mountain road to Ostrog Monestary definitely requires an experienced driver and attempting all those stops on my own would have been exhausting and not enjoyable at all. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept a good pace. I got to sleep during the long drive when there weren't any points of interest, and I made new friends and memories.

We were staying in Kotor, and wanted to see the rest of Montenegro. This is a long trip, but Milos was an incredible guide! Our driver (whose name, unfortunately, I only heard as "Zorro" - pretty sure I misunderstood) maneuvered the twisting, narrow roads with confidence, and I am grateful I didn't have to drive. Milos was very knowledgeable, funny and efficient. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone had fun, had what they needed and stayed comfortable. I highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour which allowed us to see so much of beautiful Montenegro which we wouldn’t have otherwise seen by ourselves. The tour started from Kotor and although we were staying in Budva the transport arranged for us to and from Kotor was very efficient. Our tour guide Slavko was excellent throughout, he was informative, attentive and had a great sense of humour. Our driver also did an excellent job. It was a long day but very worthwhile and we would highly recommend this tour.

Long road trip to cover the nation

It was a memorable day but we spent 11 hours in a bus: covered 450km of the country. Local food and drink, amazing guide Luka and driver Sohan, but very busy. The Black Lake was stunning but we forgot to bring our swimming clothes so wasted two hours there. The monastery in Ostrog is the gem of the tour but it was 7pm when we reached there so could only rush through in 15 minutes. Could not get a feel for the zen vibrations. The guides were friendly and helpful even when my son threw up on the bus because of the winding roads in the mountains. They had great recommendations for local food and took us to the best local restaurants in North Montenegro. Amazing scenery and local shops. Got wild honey in the forest in a small shack and even included a zip line thrill over the beautiful river Tara canyon which is the “second deepest canyon in the world.” Overall well worth the price but exhausting; we got home at almost midnight because we had to drive from Kotor back to Budva where we were staying. Guides were flexible enough to drop us off to our individual hotels. Seen everything we needed to know or see about Montenegro
