Most beautiful waterfall

Dustin knew his facts about the island and did his best to give us tips on how to have an amazing time. You will get wet on this tour so wear a bathing suit. Lunch was a delicious sandwich and a luscious cookie! He made sure the trail was taken care of from tourists and has nothing but respect for his island. Amazing and so much fun. Wear clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting muddy! All around amazing experience and Will do this tour again. Thank you Dustin!

Great but busy

It was a fantastic hike. Our guide was very knowledgable. I would have given this 5 stars except it was so packed at the falls. Way too many people on the trail trying to squeeze by.

Aloha Elena, I agree with you the State issued much too many commercial permits for this resource. That said went with my family a few years ago and was still a fun trip. Glad to hear our guide assuaged the crowd for you; that is why I go to Alaska to vacation. Food for thought. A hui hou, Micco

Good walking / water shoes a must. Trail and rocks are slippery. Kayaking was smooth but you can fight wind going back making it tough.

Aloha Lisa, Thanks for letting folks how it is and anticipate what is in store. Thanks for the awesome 5 stars. Appreciated. Micco

Great day!! The paddle was nice, the hike was easier than I had expected, and the waterfall felt aaaaaaamazing. We were with a couple that had gone on this same trip the day before, and loved it so much they did it again.

Aloha S_Hansen, Thanks for an "aaaaaamazing" review. Since we pioneered this tour ...circa 37 years ago, we do have folks come year after year to ply the same route. Paddling and hiking to the falls is always different give weather and group dynamics. See you next time. Thanks, A hui hou, Micco

Beautiful! The kayaking to and from is a workout. The hike is mostly on uneven ground. Then you do it again!
icon Response from Host , Jul 2021
Aloha Paul, More or less a 45 paddle in and 45 minute hike to the falls. And then you retrace your steps back to our shop at the Wailua River Marina. Glad you enjoyed. A hui hou, Micco

Wailua Kayak and Hike
Douglas_P
, Jul 2021
The 2 mile kayak trip was a nice way to see the back country. The 1.2 mile hike on along the Wailua River was beautiful. The trail was very well maintained but it was pretty busy.

Aloha Douglas, Secret/Sacred Falls is not a secret but still a nice experience. As I shared in an earlier review...took my family and still was a nice experience given the populace. Keep stroking and hiking. Thanks for the review. A hui hou, Micco
