Departure Time

7:45 AM
Make your way to a centrally-located hotel in Jerusalem, where you meet a driver for the trip to Masada, a desert fortress with a history that dates back to Roman times. This is an independent tour so you can enjoy each destination at your own pace.

At Masada, you have time to ascend the plateau by cable car (own expense), and tour the site's ancient palace walls, synagogue, stepped pool, and other excavations. Continue to Ein Gedi, a nature reserve an oasis where you can hike to a desert pool that supports lush vegetation in an otherwise arid landscape.

Drive on to the Dead Sea, where you have access to a private beach (included in the tour), where you can float in the hypersaline water or try out the Dead Sea’s mineral-rich therapeutic mud. Then make the return trip to Jerusalem, where this tour concludes. In some circumstances, the order of sites visited may change in order to optimize the tour.

History Lesson in Beautiful Surroundings
Marcy
, Mar 2020
Anna was a wonderful tour Guide! She is very knowledgable in the history of Masada and Engedi. The Day was a history lesson and a beautiful nature hike all in one:) I want to go back and do it again, but this time walk up the mountain instead of taking the ride up:) I'd definitely need more time for that. The dead sea was a beautiful sight too, but as it was winter, it was too cold for me to do anything but stick my toes in. I highly reccomend this tour. You will not be disappointed.

Ancient Masada city was an impressive one with the story and its architecture. The muddy water of dead sea was a little bit different from initial expectation. Ein Gedi natural park is just so-so.

Good Value Tour

We booked the tour online. At USD 60.00 per head the value component was there. Mixup as to the pickup point but we soon got that figured out. All in all an enjoyable time. Masada was spectacular. Eiin Gedi not so much. And, the Dead Sea visit was fun. The only downer was some confusion as to which guests were going back to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. This added time to the day. All in all, a solid tour at a great price.

Great taste of three amazing places!

I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip to Masada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea. The tour guide (Eli) was informative and kept us on schedule in order to see these three amazing places in one day. Although our tour left a little late from the pickup point (the bus had gotten stuck in traffic from Tel Aviv), we were able to spend ample time at each stop on the tour. All in all, I thought this was a great experience and highly recommend this tour through Tourist Israel and Viator.

good, but could be better,

We start little delayed on time, and after 40 minutes driving we make first stop in a pump station, too much time, we could be half of the time we spend there because travel just started. After in Masada, which is very interesting place, we had time to make all walking but not much time to check into details and mosaics. I think we didn't just go there to make the picture for Facebook and left, we wanted really discover the history of the place. , so I think 30 min/1hour more would be essential to make all without stress. After Ein Gedi a national park with wild life, we stop there only 40 min, which was only enough to reach the first waterfall and run to the bus back.and then we wait at Qumran where as a Museum with dead sea Scrolls. But then there they give us 60 min for eat. That was not planned because on the trip say no food included, so we prepare everything with us before, . And not lost one hour to eat on a crowded fast food restaurant like on a high School, and we were not informed that we can have the option to visit the museum which was 10 meters from there. and after 5 min bus travel we arrive at the dead see, and here we had a little more time, I don't remember if was One hour or 1.5 hour but it was enough time there. and back to Jerusalem.
