In depth understands of Tasmania harbour city

The tour guide has a very in depth historical knowledge of Hobart city and harbour. From her professional presentations, we knew the 3 monuments in the city centre are not really "great persons", the central park was a cemetery, the history and stories of convicts and the big buildings. A great Tasmania history experience.

Our tour guide was really knowledgeable of the history of Hobart and showed us things that we had walked past without thinking of the significance. Our guide was friendly and professional and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Hobart - even if you have been there before

A look at Hobart's first English settlement

I was part of a small group tour, probably due to recent rainy weather. Lisa was there when I arrived, immediately engaging and friendly. As we explored each site, Lisa's presentation was informative and easily understood. She was interested in each person's views; and answered all questions in a way that we felt part of a group discussion. As it was my first time to hear about Hobart's early history, the tour gave me a context to understand what I'm seeing in the present.

A decent introduction to Hobart

Lisa was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable of the history of the area. The tour was a bit long for one area and could have been covered in an hour. I would like to have seen other areas of Hobart e.g. Battery Point included in the tour.

Hi Keith, Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the tour with Lisa. As there are such a large amount of stories through Battery Point as well, we do have this as a seperate tour to ensure that we can cover as much as we can for visitors. We hope that next time you are in Hobart we can take you on a tour of Battery Point as well. Thank you, The team at Hobart Walking Tours

Very informative tour about Hobart history connecting it to the many historic buildings. A very accessible walk. The tour guide was prepared to run the tour for one person when 4 people pulled out due to the weather.

The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. However if you are expecting a good walk, this is not the tour for you. In the first hour we covered about 300m. The first half an hour was spent giving us a very interesting lesson in history but we didn’t move from the start point. I would have liked to move around more and see more.

Hi Natalie, Thank you for leaving a review for us and we are glad you enjoyed the knowledge and information shared. We try to ensure that our walks are accessible for everyone, including those who may not be able to cover a lot of ground, but I completely understand your want in having a more physical walk. We hope next time you come back to Hobart, you get in touch and we can customise a walk to cover more ground. Thank you, The team at Hobart Walking Tours
