Enjoying good food and zipping through the streets of Hanoi

This was my 2nd foodie tour in VIetnam, I recently had my first in Saigon with friends. This time around, my wife joined me after my business trip to spend the weekend in Hanoi so I had some kind of expectations. Out tour guides were both young men recent graduates from university and quite a good in speaking English. We were picked up at our hotel at the designated time but they had to ask around since they dont have our contact numbers (tour operator should share the contact number to the drivers so they dont waste any time looking around the lobby and asking for their guests) Our guides were quite polite and brought us to our different destinations without any issues. We had very good food recommendations and the variety of the food we ate were quite good. The only thing I didnt like was the SOP that they dont share or eat the food with us, It is a bit weird that my wife and I are enjoying the food but our companions at the table were not eating - its a bit awkard and I think the tour operator should do something about it and allocate some kind of food prepared or at the least they could accept if guests offered them some food that would otherwise go to waste anyway. Our guides were not as chatty as the ones my friends had when we were in Saigon, maybe because we had female drivers but we did learn a few things about Hanoi and the specific places we went to . My suggestion for Mo and Andy is to prepare like 3 packages of tour information: 1 - for visitors not knowing about Hanoi/Vietnam; 2 - Have a general knowledge of Vietnam; 3 - Purists (foodies) Depending on the guests they can tailor fit the conversation topics and make the tour more interesting. Overall, I think they did a pretty good job bringing us to the places where we can sample good food and it was a different experience of Hanoi for me - since I'm mostly there on business seeing only my hotel and the customer office and "beer street" during evenings. Getting a good feedback and a nice first experience on a motorbike tour for my wife was also a plus.

Guide was knowledgeable and professional. It was the best way to spend few hours and would have gone back again if I am in town.

This was a very enjoyable trip and the back of a scooter through the streets of a busy and bustling Hanoi city centre. It gave a great feel for the city and several visits to local food and coffee shops further enhanced the trip. You must try the egg coffee, amazing.

It was only okay. The tour guides really didn't seem to have a schedule, except when to bring us back by, and since it was me and my friend, they just kept asking us what we wanted to eat. We were there to eat what they considered were the best places in Hanoi, not to tell them, hey I feel like this now. Also, if you take this tour, be prepared to be chatty since you are one on one with the tour guide and barely with the people you are traveling with. I'm glad I got to see the city, the motorbike was cool, but kind of scary, but the food tour was a very minor part of it. Also, everyone in Hanoi are super aggressive with asking you to write feedback about the service. This tour was no exception.

We had a great experience with our two guides Mia and T. They were very accommodating as I have a seafood allergy ensuring we got to enjoy food I could eat. We ended the night with an egg nog coffee...Great at the oldest coffee shop in Hanoi

I enjoyed this tour a great deal! I booked my tour for the day I arrived in Hanoi. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and I was not able to make it at the scheduled time. The tour company was very flexible and allowed me to take the tour another day. The food was delicious. Make sure you bring your appetite because the servings are full-sized. I was not able to eat everything and had to ask to change the order of stops to give my tummy a break. My tour guide, Hop, was friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the ride with Hop. I am not brave enough to drive a motorcycle in Hanoi, so this was the next best option and it was great fun!
