    The Alhambra is beautiful and so well worth a visit . The ticket process via Viator is cumbersome , and not easily recognised by staff in the ground . Make sure you take hard copy of tickets ( despite advice from Viator that digital copy is ok ) as digital copies not valid at some entry points . Internet connection required thro whole visit so costly if data roaming. Conflicting advice from guides . Original passports a must and no alternatives will do as security is very high . It’s easier to fly to Spain than get into the site !

    The Alhambra and Generalife were fabulous and I would recommend everyone to see them. What I would not do is recommend that they book tickets in advance with Viator. On the day we arrived at the entrance in good time and it became apparent that we could not access. the QR codes needed for entry An employee of the Alhambra helped us and was very patient and said she had to deal with Viator customers every day An American couple were having the same problem accessing the QR code. A phone call to “TopTours “ resulted in an answer phone message in Spanish only. We did eventually enter the Alhambra. Currently in March 2022 it does not seem that you have to book in advance. It is in any event possible to book on the official Alhambra website.

    The visit was enjoyable once we were finally able to get in. The Viator links w the email etc didn’t include the “real tickets” for entry. It was very frustrating at the gate trying to show we had paid already etc. We ended up having to call Viator and have them finally send a link to the tickets via What’sAp. A worker had to assist w Spanish. I would just buy a ticket at the gate if I went again. The Viator ticket didn’t help us skip any line. And it didn’t state that you need to have your passports on you. Luckily we did- as they checked the passports four time throughout the grounds.

    Bought this attraction. When I received the email it took a lot of time to download barcode for ticket and information on getting in the palace. Thankfully there were helpful staff otherwise I would have had to return back to a tour company in Granada to collect tickets!! Palace excellent really worth the visit.

    Booked a ticket with Toptours for a timeslot at 15.30, but the actual ticket I received only gave me the entrance at 17.00. Apparently this could not be changed by Toptours. So I had to adjust my evening programme. By the time I got into the palace the battery of my audioguide ran out, so I was not even able to use it. Audio guide also not as inspiring as I had hoped for. Quite factual, no story telling. I would recommend to do the Alhambra by yourself or with a tourguide.

    The Alhambra was wonderful The issue was that I have a question and tried to get an answer 1. emailed the tour operator and received the answer one day after the tour 2. I went early morning to where was announced as the local office, after checking address and opening time, and there were closed (while in the internet marked as open) . The only notice was "we are closed" and the web address 3. In the web I found a phone number that I have to call as a "international call from my phone" (awaiting the bill now) and i had to call x 3. Just at the end after the "if you want this mark 1 ...." etc they say you can use whatsup using a different number that took me another call to make the note of the number .... Everything just to get a "no" as answer Probably a legitime 'no" but it should be easier to contact somebody . If there are not going to be in the office ....dont even mention the office ... if there are not going to be open......dont state "open from 9 AM... If the best way is use whatsup messages ...just say that at the beginning ....

    Alhambra itself was amazing. My Top Tour was useless. We had an issue with the tickets and My Top Tour never answered their phone (regular phone or WhatsApp) despite multiple calls. They did reply over an hour after texting them (this was around 11AM so during regular hours) but never asked what they could do to help. And no follow up or apologies for the delay and lack of response. Thankfully I was able to sort it out. Will not be using anything with them again.

    The joining instructions said to go to a road in Alhambra where we can collect our tickets and audio guide. The was no-one in the road and we walked almost the length of Alhambra looking for someone. You local operator said she would send the tickets on WhatsApp. Victor literature said write to request WhatsApp as an option to going to the joining location. I have an old iPhone which is why I did not request WhatsApp. Before going to Alhambra I phoned your local agent Mytoptour who said the tickets would be sent by WhatsApp. After a couple of hours I called and she said she had forgotten to send them but would send immediately. Nothing arrived, she kept saying she had sent them but nothing arrived. At Alhambra I called again and she said she would send them again. I borrowed a WiFi connection from Alhambra and the tickets arrived. By the time we had done all this and walked to the Nasrid Palace there was only time for 40 minutes in the palace followed by a forced walk to the other end of Alhambra to get the audio back before we were charged for the audio. We saw none of the other palaces, gardens etc. as there was no longer time. Mytoptour did little to help and I suggest you find a better partner. The highlight of our Granada visit was destroyed. Tour ref BR-836420786. We have booked the Small Group Food Tour in Granada ref 836332246 for Saturday and hope your local operator is better organised. Greg Carlow

    I am glad we chose the audio guide option. This gives you the opportunity to go at your own pace, to skip things or repeat things if you want to listen again. It's a fantastic site with amazing things to see and views to die for. Ticketing arrangements unnecessarily complicated. On booking you should send the e tickets straight away. Also provide information on getting to the site. We walked up the long hill only to find we could have got a bus or taxi to the entrance.

    Magnificent setting and great to walk around for a whole day. Receiving the tickets through email and accessing the site was easy and generally without stress. Helped to use this site as all tickets on the Alhambra website were sold out well in advance. It is best to go early when there are less people to enjoy the serenity of the gardens.

    We visit the Alhambra but where not that good prepared because we forgot to buy a ticket in avance. So we used the internet for options. Viator gave us the guarantee that we could visit the site. The site is worth the visit but it depends on how much you would like to pay... we payed 130 euro for 2p with audio guide... normally it’s just around 30 euro. So it really is a scam ... Viator is really a set up... but if you want to go you will be having tickets for the Alhambra!

    Purchased the audio self guided tour but was allocated a 9am access to the Nasrid Palace. Since I was not arriving in Granada until late morning I requested a later time or a refund, neither were entertained which was disappointing.

    I was in Andalucia for a business trip. Didn't plan to go to Granada. I tried everywhere for tickets but they said it needs 2 months in advance booking. I booked tickets into Nasrid Palace just one day before. The audio was great, I didn't have to follow tour guides with bad english. The view was breathtaking.

    The (inconvenient) trip from Seville to Granada was more than compensated by the beauty and aura of Alhambra. The direct train service between the two cities is disrupted at the moment and part of the journey has to be completed by bus (arranged by the train company). However, the Alhambra visit was awesome and a must do for tourists. The local tour operator in Granada was most helpful and accomodating. I had to change my time slot for the Nasrid Palace visit due to a changed train schedule and the tour operator went out of the way to assist in the changes. Overall, a great visit....
