Meet up with your guide and tour group in the lobby of Cairo's King Hotel at 9am on the day of your tour.

Set out on a walking tour of the city, focused on Cairo's modern landmarks such as Liberation Square and the Opera House. Learn about the events of the Egyptian Revolution in 2011 and see examples of political graffiti and street art.

Travel back in time with a tour of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses more than 120,000 historical artifacts from prehistoric Roman times to the era of the pharaohs. Learn about ancient Egyptian beliefs and see treasures and funerary artifacts belonging to King Tutankhamun.

Take a lunch break to sample one of the country's most popular dishes, koshary. After lunch, head outside for a Nile cruise aboard a felucca, a traditional sailing boat. You'll learn about the daily life of the captain on the Nile and get views of Cairo's sights from the water before heading back to land.
Itinerary
Stop At:
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
From there, your private Cairo city tour will take you to the museum, where you’ll head back in time to the world of the ancient Egyptians. Your local guide will regale you with stories of ancient Egyptian beliefs, as you examine thousands of artefacts in one of the greatest museums in the world. You’ll see not just collections from the era of the pharaohs, but also artefacts ranging from prehistoric to Roman times — in fact, there are roughly 120,000 objects in total in the entire museum! Mind-blowing. Of course, for most, the highlight of all these unearthed treasures is the funerary artefacts from Egypt’s most infamous king: the one and only King Tutankhamun. Get ready to be dazzled by golden gems. Once you’ve wandered the halls, your private Cairo tour will take you for a lunch break of some koshary, one of the most popular dishes in Egypt.

Our tour guide Ms. Marwa gave us an excellent tour of the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. Marwa’s English language was good & seems to be a very nice young lady.
