Find out why the Aboriginal people named Fraser Island K’Gari (paradise) on your full-day tour from Hervey Bay.

Get an early start with pickup at a central meeting point, then catch the ferry to Fraser Island. Upon arrival, travel in an air-conditioned 4WD coach across the rough roads and sandy beaches of this World Heritage-listed sand island.

Among the highlights, visit picture-perfect Lake McKenzie to take a dip in its clear water or lounge on its white–sand beach. Admire the crystal clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek, located in Central Station, the former headquarters for the island's timber industry. Walk through a rain forest valley with ancient king ferns, towering ghost gum, and pine trees.

On Seventy-Five Mile Beach, drive down the sandy beach and look for birds of prey and migrating humpback whales (July–November). An optional Fraser Island scenic flight is available there (own expense). The coach meets the plane when it lands further down the beach.

Stop at two iconic destinations: the colored sand cliffs of the Pinnacles and the Maheno shipwreck—wrecked during an out-of-season cyclone in 1935. Hear from your guide about local aboriginal legends and the geology behind the technicolor sand formations. Throughout the day, your guide shares informative commentary about the history, flora, and fauna of the island.

Pull into a beach resort for a tasty buffet lunch and catch the ferry back to River Heads in the late afternoon. Your tour ends with drop-off in Hervey Bay.

TERRIBLE- From the beguining after doing the booking, I tried to contact with questions, and the mobile phone given in the web page 0408773932 was from some one who for a long time doesn't worked for the company my suspicions starter, then I tried 61 1800372737 also given on the web and is NOT connected, so definitely it is a SCAM, we travelled anyways to Rainbow Beach, not knowing if we would not have a tour or not, the day earlier to the tour, I received a call from a lady, requesting information about my location, and that the tour bus will pick me up next day at 07:45- Great, not a SCAM, at least a contact, next by 08:00 no bus, called the same number NO ANSWER - Bus arrive late at 08:15 lot of apologies from the driver- The driver's name is Kevin, an absolutely great person, the previous sour experiences was changed thanks to him, an encyclopedia of knowledge, Kevin kept us entertain all day - An absolutely lovely person, we did thanks him

Over priced and false itinerary. Do not book through Viator

Tour was complete opposite to what the description was. All the itinerary was false and misleading the times set for each stop of was wrong we spent more time on the bus than exploring the island. We also nearly missed our trip due to bus not turning up to pick us up we were standing outside our pick up spot from 7:10am waiting to be picked up at 7:20am. I had to drive to the marina myself at 7:50am and we just made the bus on time for leaving to catch the ferry to the island. We paid 250 dollars per person and we feel we were physically robbed the trip is extremely OVER PRICED!!!! we spent most part of 15 minutes at each stop off and got 50 minutes at lake Mackenzie then the rest of the time was spent on a bus. The disappointment comes from complete false and misleading tour description. Would not recommend at all unless the trip was priced more reasonable around 100/150 dollar mark then would be worth your time.

Fraser Island is spectacular. Our guide was Darren and he is so knowledgeable. The vehicle was comfortable, it was so much fun driving on the beach . Lunch was good and there were ample comfort stops . We did a scenic flight over the island and saw mother and baby whale .
