Excellent Guides!

We booked this for our stop in Florence the first week of September. Once we arrived at the Accademia, it was fairly easy to find our tour operator. Even though there was a very large number of people, one of the gentlemen at the group entrance pointed out who we needed to talk to. Once inside, our guide (Patricia) led us around and gave us very detailed and informative history regarding the sculptures in the museum. Her knowledge of The David was excellent. Time spent in the Accademia was sufficient for the size of the museum. Plenty of time during the lunch break for us to wander Florence on the way to Uffizi, have lunch, visit the Ponte Vecchio, and not feel rushed. Once at Uffizi, it was very easy to find our meeting location, tour operator, and our guide for this portion of the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, very passionate, and very obviously cared about the art and history of the city. He made it a very fun and enjoyable tour while seeing some of the more important pieces on display. Would definitely recommend this tour if you're only spending a day in Florence and would like to see some of the fantastic pieces on display.

We only had a couple of days in Florence and needed something convenient and efficient. Our 9-year old and 12-year old kids were also with us, so we wanted them to be exposed to these amazing exhibitions without feeling bored or overwhelmed. Our tour guides (Ricardo and Andrea) made the experience fantastic by showing us the most important pieces by Michelangelo, Boticelli, Titian, and others, while peppering the visit with fascinating stories.

Good and Bad

Our first tour in the morning was at the Academia...guide was great, very informative and knowledgeable! However the second tour to the Uffizi was terrible. Although we were supposed to skip the line we waited for over an hour to gain access. The guide spent far far too much time in the Renaissance wing ( over an hour) repeating the same information over and over again. Truly upsetting. First time I have been disappointed in Viator

Enjoyed the tour and our guide was informative, guiding the group well through the crowds. Great way to see two iconic museums and key artworks, learn about art and history, and see beautiful architecture! Went in mid-May and it was busy on the day, so waited half an hour in line. Well organised.

The guides were most professional. They knew the subject and were free to answer extra questions about both Academia and the Uffizi. Everything was organized. My wife and I were not at all disappointed from start till end.

This is an amazing tour . It is very convenient to be able to skip the queues and also have a tour led by such knowledgeable guides. The only downside it that no headphones were provided during the David tour and this detracted a little from the experience. It was most probably an exception though for our tour.

Paying for a guided tour turned out to be not worth it since there are audio tours available and you can go at your own pace. Only redeeming thing was you skip the lines. Next time just reserve in advance and not pay for the guided tour which was really useless

Valentina was our guide for the Uffizi Gallery, and she was exceptional! We learned so much, and we were so impressed with her knowledge and enthusiasm!! I like the split format allowing us to have some free time between segments.
