Start the day with skip-the-line access to the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s 'David.' Nothing prepares you for the scale of this sculptural masterpiece. Your guide helps you appreciate the artistry from every angle, including the techniques Michelangelo used to make marble look smooth as butter.

The highlight of the city walking tour is the Florence Cathedral, whose incredible red dome is the city’s crown jewel. The dome was not without challenges for architect Filippo Brunelleschi, as your guide explains while you view the masterpiece from outside. Entrance to the Duomo is always free, so you can come back at any time to explore the cathedral in more depth, equipped with an abundance of knowledge shared by your expert, local guide.

Your tour continues through the historic center of Florence, taking in the Piazza Signoria, where 'David' once stood.

Skip the line once more at the Uffizi Gallery. Our coordinator will hand you the ticket to enter this immense gallery where you will visit at your own pace, wasting no time in showcasing works by Da Vinci, Botticelli, and Titian. Don’t forget to rub the nose of 'Il Porcellino,' Pietro Tacca’s Baroque bronze boar sculpture, to bring the rest of your vacation good luck.

Whether you’re only in Florence for a day or settling in for a longer stay, this is the perfect introduction to a city where beauty awaits around every corner.

Take this Tour - you must!

An outstanding tour and the only one you should consider. Knowledgeable, patient, interested, kind and complete. A great personal tour. Smart to go early, smart to book a private tour with a guide that is so informed. Answered questions, engaged adults and kids and teens. Everyone completely enjoyed it.

Misleading

The guide was very nice and informative, but Viator advertises this tour as 2 1/2 hours. They do NOT mention there is a three hour break between museums. This information was only available to us when we received the ticket the day before from the actual vendor. We booked another afternoon tour and so we were unable to see the second museum. Viator nor the company will take responsibility for their false advertising. Very disappointing.

Great introduction to astounding museums

Even in low season and with the coronavirus concerns keeping crowds lower than normal, I highly recommend the skip-the-line-tours. This was a terrific introduction to two of the most important museums in Italy. Our guide, Angelo Alterio, was splendid. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive and highly personable. I highly recommend the tour and Angelo.

Florence with Marilena

Marilena was our guide and we appreciated her informative and fascinating narrative. She helped us see differences in the arts depending on the time frame and truly helped us appreciate the wonderful art we were seeing. On the way to Uffizi, we stopped at the Medici home and admired the villa. She told us that a 12 year old Michelangelo was “discovered” and brought to live here for a few years! I would highly recommend her tour!

We missed the morning tour by 5 mins as we got delayed getting across town to the Accademia! Had to get a refund on the tour! The afternoon tour with Angelo for the Uffizi was very entertaining! Even my 16 year old had fun!
