Excellent well worth it

Excellent cruise. Guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. Islands are lovely and ship is fantastic. Tip take cash as alot of the cafe/bars are cash only due to them being so remote.
Best day of our holiday

One of the best days of our holiday. Fantastic ship, Crew and tour guides. First class food onboard. We would like to say we 100% recommend this trip to all.
Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful time on this cruise. The facilities were spotless. The crew was wonderful and the island stops were great. Super value. We highly recommend.
A very good experience

The boat ride itself is fantastic. The captain and guide is very knowledgeable and provides an excellent explanations on things to do on each island. You are given plenty of time on each island, maybe too much, and have plenty of opportunities to explore. The only negative is that the vegetarian option is very limited.
Not worth it

My husband and I did not enjoy this trip very much. It was advertised as 3 islands with snorkeling. We visited 2 islands and there was no snorkeling. We spent way too much time at both islands but especially the second island (4 hours!). There wasn’t enough to do at either island. The first island we saw most of the people from our boat just sitting around at the cafe near the port.

Great day on Karaka

We had a great day on Karaka and visiting the three Elafiti islands. There was plenty of time for a walk and swim at each stop. We bought some local wines and Rakija. Our teenage girls enjoyed the small villages and adventure Thanks Karaka team

Cosy cruise om the Elaphites
, Aug 2019
The team was as warm as the weather, the food was good, the sea was beautiful, the islands were very pretty. The ship is amazing, that is undeniable. I had a great time. Be kind and leave tips(gratuities) in the little box at the end if the cruise, if you can; they are very polite and won't ask for it or guilt you into doing it, and just for that I think it is even more justified to give it.

Great boat trip. Amazing staff. Fantastic lunch. Couldn't have asked for more. If it gets to hot the air con is on inside. Highly recommend.

The tour is unique. The guides are very well informed and friendly it Daniel, Lana or Sandra .... We are transported to a different world in the three islands , two of which are car less. We were even provided good vegetarian food .

day wasted
, May 2019
unfortunately the weather was very bad on the day so we were inside the boat most of the time, however had the weather been good the boat trip would have been the only good thing about the day as there is absolutely nothing on the islands to see except for a few churches, on one island we were told there is a lovely beach to visit but it is a half hour walk mostly uphill and not worth the effort. The staff were very friendly and helpful but overall it was a waste of a day from our holiday.

Nice ship....not a lot to see on islands
, Sep 2018
Overall good experience. Ship, crew and food are top quality, however thought that there were not a lot of things to see on the islands and the entire day could have been better spent exploring other areas of Dubrovnik.

Wow wonderful happy Experience!

Great value 4 money . Food lovely, Music entertaining, Views breathtaking and islands gorgeous. I would just advise that more attention should be given to the more senior Sailors at boarding as climbing the stairs is tricky even 4 the less Senior 😉

We really enjoyed this trip as a family of four, my two daughters are aged 9 and 13. There were 126 people on the Karaka the day we went and it was still comfortable and not overly cramped. We paid 190 in all, which I felt was good value, the meal on board was a very good freshly made buffet with chicken and fish, the girls enjoyed this very much. You can either eat top deck or inside which is air conditioned and has a bar area, very comfortable! If you consider Dubrovnik pricing for food and drink this probably covers a third of the cost spent. There was 3 main tour guides on board and the group was split into 3 so circa 40 people to one guide, they were very knowledgable and friendly. At each island you gather first to get some background on the location and then are set free to explore and do as you please. I read a few reviews before booking this trip and noticed a number saying there is not much to do on the islands, although this is not entirely untrue the beauty in the islands is very subtle, probably not a trip for philistines. The live music on board made for fun travel between the islands, our musicians did everything from Croatian classics to the Proclaimers, great stuff!

Wow, what a great way to see the islands! I looked at a few tours to visit these three islands and I am so glad I chose this one! The two guides that joined us on the cruise are so friendly, patient and knowledgeable. The islands are beautiful, as is the boat on which you are traveling. There were plenty of people on the boat but it's not packed and there's plenty of room to move around, unlike other tour boats I saw. The musicians add much to the atmosphere and are charismatic. Having the option to go indoors to the air conditioning was nice as the day was so hot and there is no shade on the boat, but once you are off sailing, you don't feel the heat. Just keep sunscreening!. We were pleasantly surprised with the food - Very nice, good selection. Was nice to have lunch seating indoors on the boat at set tables after being in the sun all day. As other reviewers said, bring water shoes, as some beaches are rocky or have lots of pebbles. I probably would have hurt my feet swimming at the second beach, had I not worn them. All the beaches are very close to where you are dropped off on the islands so you don't have to worry about making it back and forth to a beach in time. The first two island stops are shorter, just enough time for a little swim and a bit of exploring around the small town. Last stop on Lopud is about three hours so you have plenty of time to explore, relax, take a longer swim, get some ice cream, whatever you like. Everywhere you go, your ship is in view at the harbor. We brought towels as suggested but never really used them. In August it's so hot that you air dry almost immediately! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this cruise! Great value.

This was a fantastic day out on a beautiful reproduction karaka. The staff were very pleasant and informative. We had a delicious lunch with plenty for all. The whole day was well planned and went like clockwork. The musicians were great and really talented and all had a fun time singing along to requests. We enjoyed all the island visits but especially Lopud where the swimming off a sandy beach was just the ticket on a roasting hot day. We considered that the day out was very good value for money.

We were picked up from our hotel in Mlini and taken to the Port of Gruz to board our Karaka. There were lots of people on board but plenty of places to sit. There is no shade unless you go indoors so take plenty of sunscreen as it's a real suntrap! Each of the islands was great in it's own way. Interesting places to visit. It was great swimming from the Beach in Lopud. There was one beach about 5 mins walk, and another beach about 10 mins walk. Beach shoes are advisable as it's quite pebbly. The sea was crystal clear and great to swim in. Lots of bars and cafes in Lopud to get food or drink from. Great ice creams there. You can grab a drink or ice cream on the other islands too. The food provided on the boat was lovely. There was salad, bread, potato salad, chicken, fish. Then later there was fresh water melon. It was all very tasty. The entertainment on board was great too, and they played to the crowd. It was good fun. All in all a great trip with good guides and well worth the money.

This was a full fun day going out on the Adriatic sea and visiting the islands around Dubrovnik. The ship is very nice and looks to be in good shape. All persons on the crew were kind and spoke English well enough to get any needed information across. The lunch provided was a very good mixture of foods that are local to the area. I would highly recommend taking a towel, water, sunblock, shoes that you can wear in the water if you choose to swim/snorkel along with some clothing that you can fully cover up with because the majority of the seating was uncovered.
