Great trip, sights, accomodation and guide
, Oct 2019
My son (12 years) and I took this trip together The bus could take up to 16 people but we had 9 on our trip It was a relaxed easy trip. Sufficient time at sights and very knowledgeable, friendly, humorous and thoughtful driver, John Accomodation was really good (B&B) and each was only about 7-10 minutes stroll to the high street. One night at one place and 3 at another (which meant not having to unpack and repack each day which was a bonus) Days started at 9am after breakfast and finished at around 5.30pm with time to explore Galway and Killarney.

This tour was amazing! Jerome was our guide and he was friendly, funny, an expert driver, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. We saw so many parts of south west Ireland not accessible by the big tour buses. We will only go on small group tours going forward!

We had a fantastic time on this trip with Jaimie from Rabbies! It was everything we were hoping for plus more! The scenery was breathtaking, as expected, but the experiences we enjoyed with Rabbies are what made it special. A small group is the only way to go as you get to visit some hidden gems without the crowds, plus tailor the visits to suit the group. You still get all the well known sites such as the Cliffs of Moher, but we really enjoyed the experiences in some of the recommended small pubs - no better place to see and hear authentic traditional Irish music. There is a lot packed into the itinerary so sometimes you want more time at a particular spot, but the tour really gives a broad feel for Ireland.

We saw everything. It was very busy. We went with Rabit tours and the mini bus was fantastic and not over crowded. The hotel was very comfortable in both Galaway and Killarney. We wished we had more time in both Galaway and Killarney to enjoy the towns. Remember that you need to take additional money for the entrance fees, I did not realize how many entrance fees there were on the trip.

Spectacular trip through Rabbie's - Patrick was the most amazing tour guide/driver. This was one of the most memorable and special trips of our lives. We will always remember our time with Patrick and the amazing sights of Ireland. We will tour Rabbie's again. We choose the B and B options which was spectacular as well.

This was the most amazing tour! The company that picked us up was Rabbies and our tour guide/driver Jerome made our trip absolutely incredible. We saw everything listed plus little extras along the way. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and made the trip experience a five star one for sure. Our hotels and meals were also just amazing. Worth every penny! Can't wait to book another trip through Viator.

Intimate 20 passenger van is a great way to roll through the countryside. As a photo enthusiast this tour was a delight of landscapes to capture. Although some rain and fog prevented some great shots the contrast is awesome. I learned a lot of History along the way. I am not Irish but will come back some day to learn more.

We really enjoyed our 5 day tour of Ireland with our wonderful guide, Tom! He was able to enlighten us on the vast history of this beautiful island while showing us the top sites. It was like having our own personal guide book talking to us! Besides all the castle and churches some of my favorite stops were: Cliffs of Moher even after hurricane Ophelia these cliffs were breathtaking meeting locals and holding a lamb, and walking about some of the very old stone forts. It was so nice to sit in a warm and dry van equipped with charging stations to watch the county side roll by! By the end of the trip I felt like we were family and truly became part Irish!

This was a phenomenal tour! It was a wonderful way to see A LOT of Ireland in just 5 days. It touched on many of Ireland's must-see places. I loved how this was a smaller tour- just 16 passengers on a touring van. Tom was our driver/tour guide and he did a marvelous job! We had some inclement weather, so Tom was able to rearrange a couple of our days, so we wouldn't miss anything. I think this was one of the things I appreciated most. He gave us options and we were able to choose between some things. It made the trip very personable. Something I don't think you could do on a 50 passenger bus. Tom was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Ireland and gave great talks as we toured. We chose the option of staying in the B and B's, which were very lovely, but I think if I was to do this again, I would choose the hotel option, because it seemed that the hotels were closer to the city centers of the little town's we stayed in. We were able to walk into town from the B and B's as well, it just took a little longer. I would highly recommend this tour if you only have a short stay in Ireland. It was wonderful to leave the driving to someone else- especially on the very tiny country roads we traveled on. I would not want to have been driving. Fantastic tour!

What an amazing trip! Our driver John was local born and bred and knew a lot of history. He was very considerate about making sure we all got safely into our lodgings each night and pointed out places to eat for lunch, usually joining us for a chat. The hotels were excellent, especially the Arbutus in Killarney. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast varied and delicious, and the two sitting rooms with fireplaces a delight after sightseeing all day. We traveled during the first week in October. It rained 2 of the 5 days but that didn't stop our activities too much. We were prepared with waterproof trousers but they weren't really necessary since we could pop outside for a minute or choose to stay in the minivan if it was pouring. We did dress in layers and that turned out to be a good thing as the weather was mild but the wind was powerful and quite chilly. The downside was spending a fair amount of time sitting in the minivan as we traveled between activities. Otherwise it was good value for money.
