First but definitely not last time at Chankanaab!

Such an incredible excursion! We were on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas, and this excursion is offered on Carnival but not on Royal. So we went through Viator, and we were very pleased! The included snorkeling was incredible, and the all you can eat and drink (only during lunch) was very good! The only downside was that lunch didn't start until 1 pm when the certificate said 12:00 pm. When you are one hour ahead normally, that meant having lunch at 2 pm EST when we normally eat at 12 pm EST. The sea lion show was so much fun, but we had to do the 1 pm sea lion show because the 12 pm time was for a private tour. That caused us to eat lunch at 1:30 pm when we thought we were eating at 12 pm. We are definitely booking this tour again!!

Nice day at the beach and snorkeling

It is a very quick taxi ride from the ferry area. Should only cost you about 150 pesos. Easy to check in and you will get a wristband for access to the facility and then a small access paper for a locker and snorkel gear and another for the food. I have been here before and they have a very nice beach area with lounge chairs and hammocks and easy access to water for snorkeling. I have my own snorkel gear I travel with and started there and it was a nice sunny day with calm waters and saw a ton of fish. Recommend going from the beach down by the dolphin area and back. Hung out at the beach and that is the best part. Afterword jumped in the swimming pool for awhile and they have showers and changing rooms available. Watched my son and his wife do the Dolphin Experience which they loved. The food here is fine, nothing fantastic, but you can eat and drink all you want. They have several nice trails to walk on and other activities if you want to add to it. For a nice one day getaway without crowds I really like this place. Oh also the Sea Lion show was fun. Overall if any of your group wants to do a dolphin experience I like the set up at this location. If you are like me and just want a peaceful and not crowded beach to relax on and snorkel then this is a great spot.

Since we arrived they were already waiting for us, gave us everything we needed and instructions on how to proceed. The park itself was absolutely amazing, we had so much fun. We snorkled and ate good size and good meals that You can choose from. Totally recommend it!

Highly recommend this park! We took a 10 minute taxi ride from the port to the park ($6/person). The park is beautiful and clean. Lots of chairs. loungers and palapas. Snorkeling was excellent! Swim with dolphins, sea lion show, botanic garden walks. Excellent service setting up chairs and serving drinks (Angel was our server). The lunch buffet was pretty good. We will go there every time we are in Cozumel!

This park is always fun. We took a tour of the mayan reproductions and our guide was awesome. Snorkeling was good. We ate at the blue parrot and the buffet and beer were very good. Tequila tasting was awesome too. Just a nice way to spend the day.

Amazing Cozumel Tour

We really enjoyed our experience at Chankanaab Park and would highly recommend it. We were given a great tour and history lesson along with seeing many great sights relating back to early Mayan times. The beach was amazing and the water was so clear. We were first time snorkelers and had lessons from Angel and he was so patient with our inexperienced group. He took our underwater camera and took amazing pictures for us. I would like to revisit when we have some extra time.

Twin nephews (12 yrs old) first cruise/trip to Cozumel. They were looking forward to snorkeling but all snorkeling activities were cancelled due to the water being too rough. The park was very clean. Enjoyed the sea lion show.

Disappointed

Supposed to have had a guided tour but no one available. Park is clean but has been super commercialized. Maybe the wrong time of the year for a visit. Orchids appeared to be dead or dormant on the trees and native animals were very scarce.
