Please meet us at the entrance to hall 2. That is the one closest to the Italian restaurant Un Mercato. Here the guide will be waiting with a sign.

5:30 PM
This activity will end right where it started.
Your tour begins at Torvehallerne market on Frederiksborggade Street.

Follow your guide through Torvehallerne, a market with more than 60 stands. Your guide weaves your group through the crowds, so you can sample foods at some of the very best ones.

After your time at the market, journey on to a nearby restaurant. Pop in, and sit down for a main-course dinner. Sip on a glass of wine (or juice) as you continue to get acquainted with Danish dishes.

Your last stop of the evening is at a microbrewery. Taste beer, and indulge in a dessert. Your guide leaves you at the microbrewery, unless you’d prefer he or she take you back to the starting point of the evening—Torvehallerne market.

Note: If you have any specific food-related requirements or allergies, please note them at the time of booking.

Poor and over-priced Food Tour

We have done food tours all over the world and found this food tour to be worst ever. We met our guide at the fresh food market who was pleasant but very casually dressed, (see photo). At the first stop we sampled 3 slivers of cheese and thimble sized serving of apple wine. Next we had a small bowl of porridge (normally a breakfast course!) followed by a chocolate tasting which actually was the highlight of the evening. The courses were so out of order, who has chocolate before the main meal? We walked 15 minutes, about 900 meters to the Brew Pub restaurant and sampled a flight of 5 beers before dinner. I had mentioned to our guide that we normally like to have wine with our dinner since this was listed in the Overview but none was offered.. The guide said we could order any main course on the menu and I ordered the steak while my wife had the vegetarian dinner. Our guide then said there would be upcharge of $10 for the steak after I had placed my order. the steak was fatty, tough and unremarkable. Given how many great places there are to eat in Copenhagen, I was surprised this tour was labeled “gourmet” - it was far from it. The food and samplings (except the chocolates) were average. At a price of $150 USD per person we expected a better experience. There were no other couples or people on this tour so we only could converse with the guide, they should have told us beforehand so we could have canceled the tour.

Mediocre food tour

I have done food tours all over the world and found this food tour to be incredibly mediocre at best. The tour was far from gourmet with the night ending in an average burger. Given how many great places there are to eat in Copenhagen, I was surprised this tour was labeled “gourmet” - it was far from it. The food and samplings were average. None of the information or history shared during the tour was a unique perspective and didn’t add much to the Copenhagen experience. At a price of $150 USD per person, I would have expected more and would have been better off eating on my own. Finally, while the reservation states that Covid protocols would be followed, there were no precautions taken on the tour.

Fantastic food tour. Simon, our guide, took us to places we definately would not have found on our own. Simon spoke several languages, was very knowledgable on a wide range of subjects and had an excellent sense of humour.

We loved the tour. Our argentinien-danish guide was more than friendly, competent and gave us the feeling to be with a friend!

My wife and I really enjoyed this walking tour of Copenhagen. We got a chance to try the real food of Denmark and a taste of some of the native ingredients in the Danish food. Everything was very good and well planned. I encourage everybody to take this tour!

Guide was fun, knowledgeable and a joy to be with. Sampling was well selected and good quality. The dinner selection was very good. Also what better way to end the evening but with beer sampling and desert .

The evening food tour was absolutely...

The evening food tour was absolutely wonderful! We tasted a variety of delicacies and had a great meal, dessert and a variety of beverages. Maria our guide was fantastic! She planned a perfect tour and stroll through Copenhagen and told us historical, current, economic, environmental and social information and stories about Denmark and Copenhagen. She was very passionate about both her city/country and job. Our group had just finished a 10 day Baltic cruise with 8 paid tours in 5 different countries. This food tour found on Viator was hands down the best tour of our trip! I would highly recommend it!

The three of us had a private food tour no one else signed up with Maria, our guide. It was excellent! The food was delicious, and we saw several interesting areas of town. Even my 16 year old loved it, and liked the food. I know it's expensive, but I highly recommend this tour. Maria was great very enthusiastic about food and her city. The highlight of our time on Copenhagen.

Simon, Manager FoodTours.eu
