My wife and I went with another couple and enjoyed a wonderful and informative walking tour of two neighborhoods just north of downtown Chicago. Our guide, Delaney, was great! Very knowledgeable and entertaining and the tour was exclusively about restaurants and shops original to Chicago. We started out with the best deep dish pizza (and I am not generally a fan of deep dish pizza), went on to a great tea shop, a funky bao shop, falafel, chocolate shop and ended at Second City. We ate and talked about the history of these two neighborhoods. I can't wait to do other tours. Highly recommended!

Excellent way to learn about a part of town I'd never been to. Dave S. was an awesome guide and shared a lot of great facts about not only the food but the history of the city. He interacted with each person in our group and was great at answering questions. It was very apparent that the staff in the shops enjoyed seeing him. GREAT pizza at Lou Malnati's and that toffee at the Fudge Pot... YUM!!!!! I'd recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the area. Thanks Dave!

We did mention that my daughter had dietary restrictions but food that was not healthy for her to eat was still chopped up and added to meals with no warning, therefore she had an allergic reaction that put a huge damper on our trip. We called immediately after we got back to the hotel but no one ever returned our phone call. We called the restaurant to confirm the ingredients in the meal and they were apologetic but it was too late to do anything. It was not near as fun as other tours we have been on in other large cities. The spice store and chocolate shop were wonderful and were the highlight of the tour. There are better pizza places in Chicago.

All I can say is TRY IT!!! My husband and I had a wonderful time and great food. He drank his first ever cup of tea. I had one of the best slices of pizza I have ever had. Our guide was very informative. After the tour, we went back to some of the stores and purchased quite a few of our favorite things. I can't wait to get our family together and do some more of these in other locations.

If you only have time for one tour when visiting Chicago then this is it. You et away from the high rise buildings into a lovely neighbourhood and find out a bit about the history whilst giving your tastebuds the most amazing experience. Jaci our guide was humorous, engaging but most of all made sure we had the best time. If I could score more then 5 I would.
