Early Father's Day gift for my adult son

The most memorable parts of our experience was to see the many architectural, beautiful unique buildings that have been built around the loop and North parts of Chicago and to hear the history of the areas. So many new changes for the greater has happened in Chicago since I moved away 20 years ago and even though my son still lives in Chicago, he has not experienced many parts that was covered during the Big Bus tour and hearing the history of it was awesome. The only thing that I did not like was the pre-recorded history that included the kiddie singing & songs. I would have preferred a live person to have given the historical information.

First time in Chicago…will definitely be back.

At the first pickup spot on 6/19, the BB reps weren’t very accommodating. That short black man sat on the wall, and offered no assistance at all while bragging, “I sit up here and make him do all the work” - referring to another rep. The outbound driver wasn’t as inviting or pleasant as the drive who brought us back to original stop…all he kept saying was, “Get your pictures ready, get your cameras ready, hurry up”, but he never explained anything about what we were supposed to be taking pictures of.

0 to 100 real quick

It started out great and then it went south really quickly. They blocked off the ramp on the return to Navy Pier and caused us to have to detour and circle back. The traffic was horrible so the bus eventually pulled over in town to let us off. We had to use the GPS to find our way back by foot which was a 30 minute walk back to our car. Also, if you are riding up top be careful because my son got whacked in the eye by a tree branch, I got hit with a few in my head, and beetles were flying into the top of the bus near the planetarium.

The “panoramic” night tour is not panoramic and there’s two hours of my life I’ll never get back. Bus drove around big buildings, that’s about the best I can say about it. No live guide, just a canned recording —with juvenile sounding Minnie and Mickey Mouse voices and cheesy sound effects—that did not match up with anything, and giving useless trivial facts about Chicago. Everyone was clueless as to what we were looking at. Nor does it stop anywhere so you’re on the bus for the entire time. Has I been able to, I would have exited after 10 minutes. If I could give zero stars I would, and request a refund.

Night time tour a huge disappointment

The night panoramic tour was a huge disappointment. The 75 min tour was done in 60 mins. Because it was rushed the audio did not match the sights. Very confusing. The driver never warned about low branches and we were hit in the face several times. The audio used same jokes and stories as the day trip not worth the money and I feel we should be credited for the evening ride.

Very good tour! The pre-board directions not so good!

The most memorable was FINALLY getting on the bus (long wait 1hr😦); Enjoyed the narration & music (once I adjusted to it not being a live person); Enjoyed the entire loop tour (we decided to stay on for the whole experience)😊 Dislikes: Did not like the app. It did not provide specifics regarding pick up in writing. It was only in map form😱 Once we arrived at Milennilum Park, we walked along Michigan Ave. looking for BB signage. We saw a Big Bus stop @ the Symphony Center and we walked in that direction. That's when we saw the Big Bus Sign. A BB worker walked up waited. He offered no directions unless we asked. Once the BB arrived, I had my ticket on my phone. I did not know I had to show it to the BB worker until the driver said so. Alot of unknowns for people who like clear directions. Kindly make app people friendly with 'written' points for preparation.

The view from top of bus and learning the history behind the skyline. My granddaughter's dream of seeing the bean in millennium park and that wish was fulfilled through this tour.

We enjoyed the experience. We had an issue with locating the starting point for pick up. 98E Upper Wacker Drive does not appear when one googles it. Spent too much time trying to find the location.
