We offer complimentary hotel pick-up & drop-off from anywhere within the Old City and the surrounding areas. There will be additional charges for any hotel pick-ups which are located away from Chiang Mai (~10-15km away).
Begin with pickup at your Chiang Mai accommodations, then meet a small group of fellow foodies—for a more personal experience, the group size is limited to eight people.

Follow a route that will take you to two evening markets, where you’ll try a wide variety of dishes, from kannom jin Chinese noodles to northern Thai specialties, coconut dumplings, stewed pork, and sweets. This is the perfect time to learn some basic phrases with help from a local, then practice ordering dishes in Thai. The tour includes a leaflet that explains the most popular street food dishes, so you can keep exploring Thai markets on your own.

With a small group and an experienced guide, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions about unfamiliar foods, ingredients, and how to eat some of Thailand’s more exotic dishes. After you’ve tasted your way through both markets, you’ll hop a songthaew for the return trip to your accommodations, where this tour concludes.

It’s a wonderful experience to have a local show us the authentic dishes Thai people eat. I used to only order pad Thai or pineapple fried rice whenever I go to Thai restaurant. After this tour, I am definitely equipped w more knowledge of Thai dishes and can expand my horizon of Thai food ordering in the future.

Well, it is rainy season and it did rain with ligtning and thunder. But our guide Coco Loco did a great job making the experience fun. It was just myself and a friend so almost a private tour. The food was great at both markets we visited. Very interesting the variety and specialties from the area.

Food, fun and magic with Sunny

Our tour was originally scheduled to be a group tour but ended up as a private tour - to our benefit! The food vendors truly knew, respected and liked our guide Sunny which benefitted us. Sunny took our 9 year old son under his wing and was able to encourage him to try all the interesting and amazing food selections (sweet and savory), unlike at home. In addition, Sunny entertained our son with magic tricks while we were awaiting our food. Sonny was extremely knowledgeable about the food, prep and ingredients. Thanks for a great experience - we had a lot of fun!
