Departure Time

7:00 AM
Arise bright and early for morning pickup at your Cancun hotel.

Transfer to the harbor, where you'll step aboard a fully equipped boat powered by a 4-stroke engine. Meet your experienced captain and crew, then head out to the area between Isla Mujeres and Isla Holbox, watching the scenery and snapping photos on the way. Learn about the whale sharks, who migrate to the warm Caribbean waters in this area between May and September in search of plankton. Look for other marine life, such as dolphins, turtles, and manta rays. If you see manta rays, you'll stop the boat and enjoy some time snorkeling with them.

Once you find some whale sharks, don your provided snorkel gear and slip into the water. The experienced crew will swim right along with you, ensuring your safety and comfort, even if you're not an experienced snorkeler. You'll stay in the whale shark watching area for about 3 hours, and you can get in and out of the water as much as you like. You are guaranteed to see whale sharks or your money back.

Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Return to Cancun at the end of your excursion for drop-off back at your hotel.

I was under the impression there...
Kristen G
, Aug 2017
I was under the impression there would just be one boat out there instead of 10 different boats. It was pretty stressful too. We had our tour guiding yelling at us to swim swim swim, turn right, turn left And our guide wasn't able to take the best pictures/videos either b/c he was either super in front of us or super behind us. And I would have really liked to have stayed in the water longer instead of getting out after like 2-3 minutes each time. Other than that I enjoyed myself and it was still a cool adventure... not fantastic though like I hoped for.
