Freddy and Frank were so nice! They were our tour guides for the day. The tour is in both English and Spanish. Our driver Jorge did a great job getting us from place to place safely, even though it was pouring down rain the entire time. At Chichen Itza, our tour guide Rodrigo was very informative and enthusiastic about the content he was teaching us, and had provided pictures to help us visualize his stories. The only downside at Chichen Itza was the many many vendors constantly trying to get you to buy their stuff it was hectic and overwhelming. The cenote was also gorgeous but they require you to rent a life jacket for 40 pesos, which isn’t mentioned online. You also can rent a locker but we didn’t. At the end of the tour, our shuttle was over 40 minutes late to take us back to our hotel but the tour guides Freddy and frank bought us a taxi to take us back to our hotel which was very nice of them. Overall it is a good tour if you love to walking and history, but I do wish it was sunny when we went!

Loved the tour and our guides..had to pay $26 per adult tax and were told that that we can pay it cash if we got the exact change and the guides (manager in the bus) didn’t accept the exact amount that we had and we had to travel with the money instead.

Wonderful experience!!! Everything was awesome. It was totally worth the long drive and ended up being a great day trip. Chichen-Itza is a must see and our tour guide Marco showed us so many cool things about it. Also the food and tequila was incredible. And the cenote swim was absolutely gorgeous and fun. This tour is a must do when you go to Cancun!

Experience of the World!

Such a fantastic experience! Freddy, Frank, and Mauricio made the experience as special as possible! As an educator, I appreciated the fact that our tour guides provided information on the bus (along with images) since there is obviously so much history to take in in only a couple of hours. Our tour guides were courteous and knowledgeable about their culture and history. It is so important to learn about the Maya and their culture. We were blessed with great weather, but when it was a little too hot, our guide (Freddy) was mindful and took us into the shade. The cenote was out of this world. I have never felt so present and at peace! I can’t wait to go back!

Freddy and Frank are the best!!!

Freddy and Frank were amazing tour guides. They were both very knowledgeable and funny at the same time. Our driver, Gustavo, was very good. Not sure if I would be able to maneuver that big bus through the city! At the first stop, Valladolid, we were able to get off the bus and explore the colonial town to take pictures, shop, or view the amazing older church. Then we went to Real Mayop, a Mayan co-op, where we were greeted by the head of the co-op and a ceremony by a Shaman. Here you are able to shop and have your buffet lunch, which was amazing!!! It was authentic Mayan food. Then we were off to Chichen itza. We were separated into groups and had a personal tour guide. Our guide, Momo, was very knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to go on a day that was cloudy, but it was still hot!!! Make sure you are hydrated and well rested for this! This wasn’t a shopping tour at Chichen itza, but you will be asked to buy by the vendors. Finally, we went to Cenote Saammal. For me this was an amazing experience where I was able to swim in refreshing, cool water. For my husband, he said it was beautiful, but way too crowded. Overall, we have no complaints for this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot about the Mayan culture!

A must in Mexico!

First tour in Mexico and it was amazing! It’s truly beautiful to visit Chichen Itza. I’m not much of a tequila drinker but they have different flavors which were good. They leave the best for last with swimming in a cenote. Just keep in mind that this city is 3 hours away from Cancun. Bring snacks and prepare to sleep on the bus. Viator provides transportation to and from your hotel. Our great tour guides were Tony, David, & Rodrigo.
