Great guide

Great experience! The guide was very informative. It was a small group and very personal. I would do it again.
Our experience
, Sep 2020
Our guide was very knowledgeable and she did a great job however we would have preferred spending more time in the cemetery and less time n the smaller details and facts. We also had interruptions from the locals in the park yelling at everyone. It was hard to hear the tour leader.
Good for history buffs

Pros: There was a lot of detailed history especially about John Hancock and Sam Adams, which was interesting. Cons: If you are not a history buff, this tour may not be for you. My high school kids got bored on this tour.
Samuel Adams and Sons of Liberty

Guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Luckily we were the only two on the tour, so it was a lot more of a personal tour with downtime to ask questions!
Fun & informative walking tour of Boston history

We booked the tour with my parents who are in their 70s. It was great fun, really informative and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. There are some places where elderly guests can sit, but they are limited. With a relatively large group you need to keep aware about moving around among regular Bostonians. All in all, great value and a wonderful experience.
How Enlightening!

Our guide to the Freedom Trail pulled this walking tour off with 5 starts at least. It was a Saturday tour so there were more than enough other tours going on but she was able to take our group of 30 or so to out of the way nooks to give us the spill on what we were looking at. Her voice was clear and she checked numerous times to make sure everyone heard what she had to say. In addition to providing lots of inside info she also had suggested reading for further enlightenment.
Difficult to hear

Our guide was knowledgeable, but because of the street noise we couldn’t hear her. Too many people on the tour. They need microphones and smaller groups

We were very impressed with our guide. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging. Our group was quite large. That along with the competing typical city sounds made hearing challenging at times. Limiting the size of the group could help.
Very unhappy with the guide

The guide was rude and condescending. He even went so far as to practically yell at a little kid for holding a door open for someone. Couldn't wait for it to end!

The guide and tour were great. If given the option, I would opt for a longer, more inclusive tour and longer times in the old graveyards, also the chance to go inside some of the buildings we were seeing from the outside. Nonetheless, the guide was fun and informative and we learned a lot.
