Tour canceled with no notice
Kay
, Jul 2020
The tour company canceled due to COVID, but didn’t tell us. I had checked Viator’s website prior to our trip and it said it was still running with masks, hand sanitizer, distancing, etc. The tour was scheduled to start at 10 o’clock and I got a cancellation email at 9:30 which I didn’t see because we were driving to the departure spot. We drove to downtown Boston and paid for parking just to wait around for nothing. We only had 1 day in Boston and being left without anything to do ruined the day for us. I understand that COVID has changed a lot of things, but the website shouldn’t say that the tour is still operational, if it’s not. The tour company had to know weeks in advance that they were not going to have this tour and we should have been notified well in advance.

Good Morning, We apologize for the unfortunate event and you not receiving the email until an hour prior to the tour. Due to local authorities and for the security of our patrons and staff we will not be operating for the remainder of 2020. We will begin operations January 2, 2021. We hope you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

My daughter and I spent the day with tour guide Lynda and driver Mo. We couldn't ask for a better team! Lynda is a wealth of knowledge and she told stories to share the history of the area, which kept us engaged. Mo was professional and courteous. We had a wonderful time with Lynda and Mo and we absolutely recommend them to show you around Boston!

This tour is good both from the standpoint of sightseeing and from the standpoint of learning about the relevant American history and Revolutionary war history related to the things you are seeing. Although we are somewhat disabled and have some limitations on walking, we enjoyed this tour and were able to keep up with the group on the parts of the tour where we had to leave the bus.

Our tour was fantastic. Linda was very personable and really knew her history. She made slight adjustments to the tour schedule so we would be able to aboard the USS Constitution before it closed due to inclement weather. Sure glad she recommended we do this as it was one of the highlights of the tour. Would highly recommend to everyone.
