Good value for the money spent. We did not do the extra island tour. Gave 4 stars because I feel the tour operator could've better prepared us with island maps as well as a local bus map. Instead we were dropped at the ferry and left to our own resources.

Thank you for this 4 star review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip. I apologize for our island guidebooks not being available. Due to covid not as many have been printed and we were left short until our next order arrives. I am happy that it seems like you enjoyed your day. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Little hiccup worked out fine

Jenn did a great job getting us to our destination providing information along the way. Toilets to the right and ship to the left. Unfortunately for us there were two ships going to the island and most of us got on the wrong ship and ended up in Vineyard Haven inlue of Oak Bluffs. Called Steve on the number provided and he walked us through the steps to find Oak Bluffs. Our guide on the island, Tom, was very informative. Great day for a great trip. Thank you all!

Thank you for this GREAT 5 Star review of our Martha's Vineyard Day trip from Boston. Unfortunately, on the morning of your trip an earlier ferry had been delayed and was still on the dock when you were dropped off by your guide Jenn. As you stated some of our guests boarded the incorrect ferry and ended up in the wrong island town. Having been operating these trips for 12 years, I realize that things may not always go as planned but there is always a solution. I am glad that it worked out and that you all ended up having an enjoyable day. Thanks for your help in being the leader for the group. Much appreciated! Kind Regards, Stephen M. After looking at various options to get to Martha’s Vineyard from Boston, this seemed the easiest. Yes, you could save a little money doing it yourself by car, bus or train, but with the hassle of arranging schedules, buying tickets, traffic, etc…. This was worth taking all that stress out of it. But this is really just a ride. An easy way to get you front one point to another while you’re half asleep downing coffee. Though there wasn’t pick-up from our particular hotel location, the closest one to us was a 10 min walk away. And a nice, brisk morning walk is also helpful in waking up, because pick up time is early! We didn’t do the island tour. We preferred having a little more freedom once there. And the bus system there is easy. Traffic wasn’t so bad on the day we went, so our bus driver stopped at Plymouth Rock for us which was a nice bonus!!

Thank you for taking the time to write this 5 star review of Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard day trip. There is no doubt that in my mind that there is not a more convenient way to get to the island from Boston for the cost involved. Two 75 mile round trip bus rides and roundtrip ferry along with other perks for $110. Although the island tour is a great option, so is just spending the day doing your own thing on this amazing island! Thank you for sharing your experience. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips inc.

Couldn’t get enough of Martha’s Vineyard

The incredible microclimates of the island are amazing, also the terrain changes. The day is long so wear sneakers, bring layers of clothes or buy cute Martha Vineyard hoodies! Lunch at Linda Jeans was yummy. The gingerbread houses were so awesome. I only wish we had more time on the island to explore and shop but honestly the way the tour is organized it is perfect. The day is very long. About 12 hours. Our tour guide going to Falmouth from Boston on the bus was awesome! The tour guide in Martha’s Vineyard was excellent! We will be back to stay for a few day in Oaks Bluff!

Great tour!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Very enjoyable drive through Cape Cod on our way, and our driver, Elaine, had interesting stories and even sang to us. We also went on the island tour and enjoyed that as well, but since our ferry was a half hour late, our time touring was a little too short. Also, FYI, the island doesn’t completely open up for tourists until Memorial Day, so many businesses were not open yet, but that does make for less crowds.

Thank you for this GREAT 5 star review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip from Boston. Elaine is an amazing guide with an amazing singing voice that she loves to share with our guests. I apologize for the ferry delay as that is out of our control. Martha's Vineyard is a very seasonal island thus both early and late in the season there is not as much open as during the booming summer months. I am happy to hear how much that you enjoyed your day. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Martha Vineyard island tour

We enjoyed the quaintness of the island. The people were extremely helpful and friendly. We didn’t take the island tour. We decided to use the bus system and it was amazing. I would recommend to be prepared because we were not on the island for 6 hours; more like 5 1/4-1/2. Also, did not receive an island map. We used our phone instead.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Thank you for taking the time to write this 4 star review. The bus system on the island is certainly a great way to get around if you do not take the island tour. Both early in our season and at the end of the season the ferry schedules do not coordinate for a six hour day. Our ferry service that we use during the summer months works perfectly for a full 6 hours on the island. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

A good day!

Kristen was great getting us there and pointing out sites on the way and back. She was fantastic! The extra tour of the island was interesting but rushed. Mike had a lot of good information about the island but it was pointed out as we drove by, so no opportunities to stop for pictures. A word of caution...It is cold and windy in May. Dress accordingly.

Thank you for taking the time to write this 5-star review of our Martha's Vineyard Day trip. I am happy to hear how much that you enjoyed your time with Kristin. I am sorry that you felt rushed during the tour of the island. The weather in New England is very unpredictable this time of year.as it can be cold and windy one day and 70 and sunny a couple days later. Sorry you got a cold and windy one. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
