Joe is the man!!!

Joe left a lasting impression. He went above and beyond. I even left my coach umbrella and he turned it back in. We rode with him a couple times and he truly made us feel welcome and special. You guys better keep him around.

The drivers were very knowledgeable about the Boston area and friendly and courtesy. My reason for not giving a 5 was lack of information on where trolley was at any time. In one case the skipped the stop (14) with 3 different trolleys. Had to call to have them pick me up.

Time better spent

This was my first poor experience with a hop on and hop off bus tour - I’ve done them in Spain, Scotland, Chicago, and London and typically find them to be a fun way to get the lay of the land of a city. Unfortunately, our experience in Boston was one we will never repeat. The buses did not run on a predictable schedule as advertised, it was incredibly difficult to hear the tour guide, the driving was erratic, and the information we did hear wasn’t super interesting. Overall, a very disappointing experience given how much we love these tours in other cities.

I was sorry to read you were disappointed in your tour. We offer a satisfaction guarantee located on the customer service page of our website. Additionally, I am forwarding your comments to the general manager for his review.

Boston trip

Drivers and bus tours themselves were awesome....especially Driver Joe! Very engaging...he made it informative and fun. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is due to the poor signage for stops and lack of instructions on website. If you ride into Boston North Station, stop 4, there is nothing there for guidance of where, when to catch bus. Most people start at North Station and walk to the redemption point (17 minutes). Also having a route map online would be better too.

Thank you for the kind words about Joe, we are pleased you found his tour engaging and informative. We are sorry you had difficulty locating some of the stops. We are working on this, since we are limited by city ordinances about signage. There is an interactive online map on our trolley tours dot com website.

Trolley Tour

I had Wiggles as my tour guide all 3 times I hopped on the bus. He was very knowledgeable about the city and I got new facts each time I was on the bus. I would take this bus trip again. My only issue was getting my ticket printed. One redemption center on State street was closed down due to Covid - I did call about this and was pointed in the direction of the nearest stop to me to allow me to ride the bus and eventually get my ticket printed at the appropriate stop. I would say that it is easiest to start at stop #1 so you get a full tour before having to switch buses. Overall this tour was well worth the money.

Great way to learn how to get around the city
Rui_R

All the guides were extremely knowledgeable about the city's history. I liked that they all had different information and not a script that they all used. Great way to get to learn how to get around the city while learning its history. Highly recommended. One opportunity for improvement would be to have an app to let the customer know how far away the trolley is from any given stop. I missed the trolley by seconds more than once and had to wait 30 minutes for the next one.

We enjoyed all of the drivers, but Batman and Big Wheel were awesome. Wish more things were open to see, but that was no fault of the drivers.
