We visited Boston for the first time and it was recommended we take a hop on/off tour. Happy we did, it really gives you details and highlights. After the tour we went to the sites that we were interested in visiting in person. Glad we took your tour.

The loop that this tour makes hits a lot of great and interesting spots to see! However, the stops are difficult to find for pick-up, there’s no signs. Also, thanks to covid, there is a minimum number of people allowed on the trolley with several seats being left open for distancing. The issue with this is that there don’t seem to be more trolleys running so wait times can be long. You can also have to sit beside a stranger due to which seats are available which seems to defeat the purpose of distancing from people you are not traveling with. It can be difficult to hear the tour director talking and the information is different from person to person. I’ve done several hop-on hop-off type tours and one thing I usually enjoy is that there is a recorded audio tour so you can be given facts about the area instead of what bar your tour guide likes.

Batman Is the Best Tour Guide
Elise_K
, Oct 2020
I would recommend this trolley tour! The first time i got on, I stayed on it for the whole time and wrote down which stops I would want to get off of. I had Batman as my tour guide and he was great. The stories, the history, the facts, the honesty was fantastic. He even recommended a great fish n chips spot for my visit to Salem that evening, and it was amazing. Thanks so much Batman! When i come back to Boston, I'll be doing the trolley tour again.

Thank you for the wonderful recommendation. We are thrilled you enjoyed your time on Batman's tour and look forward to seeing you again.

Please beware that when you purchase tickets on Viator for this attraction, you have to redeem the voucher for your ticket, which means finding the ticket booth . In our case we had to walk a mile to get the tickets, when a stop was near our hotel... in the rain.

We are sorry you were inconvenienced. We use our guests feedback to improve our service. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Not Worth the Cost
KA24
, Oct 2020
We went on this tour on a Monday. About 75% of the stops/sites were closed, & neither the company or guides informed us of that. We would get off at a closed site, & either have to run to catch another trolley stop (sometimes over a mile away), or wait in a dead zone for about 30 min for the next. When dropped off, there was little time to explore or enjoy the area, because there’s no way to track when the trolleys will come. This experience was not worth how expensive it was & I wish I could get my money back. I would not recommend this service, in Boston.
