This floating museum provides the opportunity to explore and learn about the people, events, and consequences that led up to the American Revolution—all in the order in which they occurred back in 1773. Get a sense of what life was like in 18th-century Boston.

At the Meeting House, hear the story of the night of December 16, 1773, and get ready to dump tea alongside the patriots. Explore two authentically restored tea ships—the Eleanor and the Beaver.

Inside the museum, see the Robinson Half Chest, one of only two original tea chests that was dumped into the Boston Harbor that night.

A multi-media experience that told me more about our history and the Tea Party than I knew! Great combination of theatre, a cool museum, film, involvement in activities, thematic characters, and other lovely surprises. Time went by quickly and I was surprised by a lot of what I learned. Highly recommended for any age!

Tea party reenactment

The attraction met our expectations (although we would have appreciated it if we’d known in advance that some of the visitors are given speaking parts- our kids experienced anxiety over this.) I also expected that purchasing in advance would avoid the lines to purchase tickets but alas, we still had to wait so it seems there was no advantage of prebooking this experience.

It was educational and fun. The perfect combo. I really enjoyed that we were given cards with the names of the people that attended the meeting. Having “a face” made us connect better with the historical climate of the times.
