A must for Adult experienced swimmers!

**bring your own towel and warm clothes for afterwards!!** The manta rays come so close to you!! Try to be the first to exit the boat so you get dibs on the best spot and get the most time in the water. People in our group kept not following the rules: float and lay flat so the manta rays are not spooked and come over. We laid there for about 30 minutes with nothing happening after the first manta came right when we got into the water (I think none came because of these people not floating and I could see their legs dangling). After these people got out of the water because they were bored or cold, 3 manta rays came! They were like nothing I’ve seen before. I’m happy I pushed through even though I was cold and kept lightly kicking to keep warm because the end was so worth it. Thankfully everyone left around the board in the end were laying flat so this could happen! They do offer noodles for those who can’t lay flat so I wish they did that for the everyone who couldn’t swim well. No one got sea sick on our boat so that was great. Reading other reviews worried me but the captain controlled the boat well when it got choppy. **wetsuit tops, snorkel goggles and snorkel, juice, water, snacks are provided.** I would recommend this for adults who are good swimmers. I wish there was an option to pick a group with experienced swimmers for a better chance to see more manta rays. Life vests are provided for those who aren’t good at swimming, but I wish they could be separate groups. Alejo and Jake (?) were great guides and very informative.

Watching the majestic manta rays swim inches away from your entire body. Everyone on staff was friendly and gave clear instructions
Simply put, a MUST see!

Absolutely amazing. Enough equipment for family, children, and even people who are not strong swimmers to feel safe in the water. Drinks and snacks were provided which was awesome to prevent seasickness. Definitely recommend! I’ve been snorkeling a few times, but nothing tops what I saw when I did this!
Awesome experience!

This was great, definitely the coolest thing I have experienced! The crew and Capitan Lawrence were great, very helpful and knowledgeable! The hot shower after you get out of the water was wonderful but bring towels and warm clothes for the boat ride back in.

The mantas were spectacular. They made our day. I did experience disorientation upon exiting the water - recovered quickly.

Really cool experience. The crew did everything possible for us to see manta rays. Captain lawerance was great. It would be scary if not a confident person in open water.

Up close and personal night snorkel tour to see the Kona Coastal Manta Ray in action. Tour began at Honokohau Marina and boat ride to snorkel destination is about 25 min. You have about 45 minutes in the water. Do not recommend this tour for anyone that might easily get seasick and definitely not for ride alongs (because you will just be bobbing up and down while everyone is having fun). Fun experience and highly recommended tour to add to your Big Island Trip.
