Michelle Chaco was an amazing guide! She is extremely knowledgeable about the volcanic activity and history as well as the plants, lava, minerals found in the park. Her understanding of the Hawaiian culture and history is a wonderful addition to her discourse while leading the hikes. She is extremely friendly, caring, and fun. Thank you to Michelle for an amazing 6 hrs in Volcano Natl Park!

tour guide, Nathan was very knowledgeable and entertaining. he showed us interesting and scenic things that we would probably not have found on our own (lava tube from 1300 eruption, echo caldera, etc.). And he did all of this in the pouring down rain. he must have some duck genes, because it didn't seem to affect him at all. he was so interesting, that we sometimes forgot it was raining.

There are not enough words to express the amazing tour we experienced with Erik of Kilauea Echoguides. The knowledge and passion for sharing the immense information for the Volcano, the earth, the rocks was incredible. We were outdoors, touching the earth, learning about volcano's, earthquakes the current activity, the past activity, visiting area's that a tour bus couldn't go. This tour will be a lifetime memory, and we are already planning a future return to Kilauea. ERIC ROCKS's!!!! This is a Pele approved tour.

We schedled the 3 hour eco tour with Eric - what a fantastic experience. Our group of 8 included family members ranging from 75 to 8 years old. Eric was so well prepared for our group. Everyone came away singing praises of the day. The 14 year old boy said it felt like no more than one hour not three. Each one of us would highly recommend this tour. Money well spent!!!!

There are not enough stars for me to rate how much my 11 and 15 year old sons loved this tour. This was by far the highlight of our 8 days in Hawaii, and I don't think just going and seeing things on our own would have done it for them. We were able to see what suited our group and stay as long as suited us. No trailing along behind a bus group. We even visited places tour groups and solo travelers are not allowed. My sons asked endless questions and our guide, Erik, answered them all. If you are on the Big Island, you have to do this tour!! Thank you, Erik!!!!

My wife and I were amazed and pleasantly surprised with our private tour of Volcanoes National Park. Guide and owner Erik was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and the geology. Weather was good and we were able to see everything clearly. We walked most of the three hours but also used our car rental to go to areas that were not accessible to the bus loads. We learned about the plants and also a little of Hawaiian history and culture. High recommend this tour to anyone.
