There are walking tours and there are bus tours, but this unique Segway tour provides an entirely new perspective on the city of Berlin. It’s the perfect tour for those who are new to the city as well as those who are very familiar with Berlin.

Riding on a Segway isn’t difficult, but it’s important to know how to maneuver one. This tour begins in Central Berlin at Alexanderplatz, a large public square and transport hub in the central Mitte district near the Fernsehturm. Enjoy a brief but thorough training session to make sure everyone feels comfortable and knowledgeable about their Segway. Additionally, all passengers must weight between 100 and 255 pounds and at least 16 years old to participate.

With the training out of the way, it’s time to hit the open road.

This Segway tour is a fantastic orientation to Berlin, providing an opportunity to see virtually all of the popular sites as well as those hidden ones that are “off the beaten path.” The tour will stop every few hundred meters to see the sites, hear fascinating stories, take pictures and discuss Berlin’s history. The knowledgeable, English-speaking guide will also explain present-day and lifestyle facts about Berlin while also being available to answer any and all questions.

Some of the highlights include one of the last remaining sections of the Berlin Wall, now under historical protection; Brandenburg Gate, arguably Germany's most famous monument; Reichstag, Germany's famous parliament building; Topograpy of Terror, the former headquarters of the infamous Nazi Gestapo and SS and much more.

This Berlin Segway adventure concludes back at its starting point in Central Berlin.

Great Segway Experience

Our Segway tour around Berlin was excellently hosted by Nate. After a short demonstration of how to use the Segway we were off around the city seeing all of the beauty that it has to offer. Nate had some brilliant knowledge of the city and the history of the buildings that we visited. We were made to feel very at ease with Nate and I would recommend the tour to anyone, either by foot, bike or Segway.

Jesse our Aussie (love the accent) Segway tour guide was extremely informative and knew her stuff about history of Berlin. We've been on vacation for 10 days and of all the tours that we've done from London Paris and now Berlin she was unquestionably the best tour guide as well as the most fun and interactive we've taken. Seriously the on-off buses flyby the good stuff with this tour you get to play on a Segway and make frequent stops with Jesse's comprehensive narrative at the sites you really want see.

This is best tour to see an overview of the many wonderful sights, I’m a solo traveler so this was perfect. I learned a lot of history and this tour helped me figure out how to plan the rest of my weekend so I wasn’t running all over the place. Also if you don’t want to walk everywhere this is a great alternative. But you gotta be comfortable with Segways!
